Meet Bullseye! Our 2 year old American Bulldog. This big, 85 pound boy came to us overnight via our local police. Bullseye seems to be very housebroken, and knows his basic cues.. So, someone must have had him and taught him this, right? Unfortunately, no one ever came to reclaim him. Bullseye absolutely LOVES toys (seriously, obsessed with playing fetch!) And he is dang good at it! Being Bullseye is a big boy, he can have tendencies to pull on lead but staff has been working with him and he is already doing a bit better. When he does get adopted, it is recommended to continue training.

Indigo, our gorgeous 3.5 yr old, German Shepherd arrived as a stray. Our sweet girl is very shy (with a big heart) and needs a home that will provide slow introductions to everything. We can’t imagine what her previous life was like. When she feels comfortable, she will become your best friend, she just wants to know you are nearby for reassurance. Additionally, she is semi-interested in toys, this can change in the home, where she is receiving one-to-one attention. Indigo could live with another large breed dog, that is well socialized and has polite manners. Her forever home should be adult-savvy with her breed or large dogs. She just needs an environment where she can adjust and learn. She truly is a special girl, and we can’t wait for her to flourish with a family who can provide what she needs.

Looking for your new best friend? Well look no further cause Penny is your girl! This 3 year old girl is such a love bug. She came in as a stray abandoned in front of an animal hospital almost full term pregnant. After arriving at the shelter she quickly landed a spot in a foster home were she comfortably was able to give birth, nurse and raise her pups. Now that her pups are old enough to leave the nest Penny is looking for a family to show her some lovin'. Penny is great with other social dogs and is recommended for a home with kids 10 and up.

Sadie is our 3 year old Labrador retriever mix who came in overnight via our local police. This incredibly sweet girl is interested in meeting everyone- seriously- her tail goes wild when she knows someone is coming in to pet her! She loves playing fetch, and like most labs, loves to retrieve!! As we don't know how her previous life was, we do know this girl is full of fun adventures ahead! She loves going on walks, but could use some leash manners and she is one smart girl, so we feel she will pick it up in no time! Sadie even already knows the "sit, down" and "stay" cues. Currently she is available for adoption, with kids 10 years old and up.

Saint is our 6 month old terrier mix, who, despite his name, has got lots of s***k!! This pup came into the shelter after being found roaming around outside a local mall. Saint came in malnourished, but despite this and whatever hard times he endured prior to the shelter, he is still friendly with people and we are already seeing a difference in his weight! Saint is still a puppy and already knows the "sit" and "wait" cues... but that doesn't mean he doesn't need work! Like all puppies, he is still learning. Saint needs work on his leash manners and mouthiness, so upon leaving the shelter it is recommended he continues training.

On a hot spring day, Angel was found by a good Samm. at a local public pool. Angel is around 4 years old, and a terrier mix. We are not sure of Angels life prior but what we can tell you is that she is always looking for human interaction! This sweet girl needs to learn some leash manners, and given her size (70 pounds of love!) She will need a dog savvy family, with kids 15 and older. Angel is interested in other dogs, but it will be up to our trainers discretion if she can be placed with another dog in the home. Interested in meeting Angel? What are ya waiting for! Say hello to Xena! This sweet, shy 8 month old girl came in with her sister (Iris). They were found by a good samaritan who brought them right to us. Xena is a young pup, who is still unsure of her surroundings. After spending some time, Xena comes out of her shell a bit and really enjoys being next to her handler. Xena did well during her play test with another female resident dog here, but it did take her a bit to build the confidence to start running around. Once she got a little more comfortable, she got the zoomies and seemed to have a blast! At this time she can go home with kids, 10 and up.

Meet Iris! This sweet, shy 8 month old girl came in with her sister (Xena). They were found by a good samaritan who brought them right to us. Iris is nervous here at the kennels. But could you blame her? A young pup in a noisy kennel is not the best mix. After some time, she comes out of her shell a bit and looks for all the love and pets from people! Iris did well in her play test with another resident dog here, but still needs to build her confidence!

Cutie Patootie Birdie is our 4 year old micro terrier mix that came to us as a stray after being found tied up at a local gas station. The shelter believes Birdie was a "throw away" momma as she came in lactating but unfortunately, no one has ever come to look for her and no puppies ever came to the shelter. Birdie is very sweet and affectionate when meeting all people and loves to lean into you for pets! She is recommended for a home with kids 10 and up! Please ask staff about meeting Birdie today!

Habanera is our 3 year old domestic shorthair Bengal mix. She certainly lives up to her name! She is sweet as pie, but on her terms. She loves to approach people and rub up on your legs. Habanera likes to engage in play time and loves chasing after her toy mouse. Habanera does not like to be picked up, but will solicit attention from you. At this time , Habanera is to go home with older teens, 16 and up.

Sally was one of 3 dogs picked up after our local PD said there were dogs running loose with no owners in sight. Sally is around 1 years old and a terrier mix. This incredibly sweet girl is very shy at first, and shys away from people.. but with a little coaxing she snuggles up into you once she gets a little more comfortable. She did well on her dog test with one of our female dogs here, but as always a canine meet and greet is required before adoption. This sweet girl could use out of the shelter and in a nice quiet atmosphere!

Everyone, meet Mark! He is our 2 year old male terrier mix, who came into the shelter with two others dogs as a stray, after someone found them roaming around loose. Mark walks nicely on leash, but does have some prey drive, so continuing to learn his leash manners is recommended upon leaving the shelter. Mark is very friendly with all people and just loves attention! He really enjoys playing with toys, and running around in the play yards. Mark can be dog selective, as he did well with two of our female dog residents here, he did not do well with another male so at this time, he is to go home with female dogs, or to be the only dog in the home. He is recommended for a home with kids, 8 and up.

Our handsome, 2yr old Rottie is Riley! He came to the shelter with 4 other dogs after being removed from a home that was deemed unsafe and unfit to reside in. Riley arrived in December 2023, was adopted in February 2024. It was for only 2 months; after Riley witnessed house mates play-fighting, he believed it was a real physical altercation, he started to guard his owner from the other housemates.
Riley is looking for an adult home that is savvy with Rotties and large breed dogs with guarding. He is eager when coming up for a walk, and has no handling sensitivities. Our behavior team did an updated evaluation and found that he guards his food bowl. He was obsessed with his food, when they attempted to remove the bowl, he stiffened up and gave a low growl. He LOVES to play, and has a lot of energy to burn! While he did show guarding in his adoptive home when he has met strangers during his assessment, he was wiggly. He knows “Sit, down, and place.” He is still working on leash manners, but we know he will get there soon enough. He is recommended to be in a home without any kids.

OMG, have you seen a cuter pup?! Judy is a 3 year old Staffy mix, who came in after she was removed from the home from the local P.D. Judy is shy and cautious at first in her kennel, but once she warms up and goes into our play yards, the zoomies come out full throttle! She loves running around the yard, playing fetch (doesn't retrieve) but that's just because she would rather run right back to you for some pets! This little one LOVES belly rubs! So, if your looking for an absolute gem of a dog, Judy is your girl!
