We like to give a huge Thank You to all the customers who have been so awesome, helpful friendly and loyal... since we opened in August of 1992. And we wanted to let everyone know that as of 4pm on May 24t, 2024... We've sold RB Kennels &Grooming Salon.

So please make sure your have or send us proof of your updated Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations, prior to your appointment. Without that in our files, we will not let you in the building. This is for your pet(s) safety, as well as our other customers pet(s) safety...

This is the type that was going around last June, July, and August. Just way, Way, WAY more virulent!

There's a new warning for pet owners about a mysterious illness that's sickened hundreds of dogs nationwide. Experts say the symptoms are similar to kennel cough, only this illness is considered highly contagious, and in some cases, fatal. KDKA-TV's Shelley Bortz has more.

Due to a virulent Respiratory strain going around... we will be closing down from today, until August 20th. Over this period, we will be shutting down our Controlled Air System, and opening All Windows and Doors to ventilate. Also, cleaning, re-cleaning, and cleaning again, along with stronger, suggested disinfectant throughout the process.

We do all we can here, to keep your pets as safe as possible from this and other threats. But even with cleaning, disinfecting constantly, the threat of an Airborne Bacterium/virus removes making anything we do 100% effective against all strains of said threats.

Also, the new shot record policy we're implementing will be: Any customers coming in (for boarding or grooming) must have all shots 10 days prior to being allowed in the building. No exceptions! Sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to see you all again soon...

Their addition, alongside Randy, Ann and Brett, will better help us in getting you in for any of your grooming or boarding needs.

We will also start to take later appointments, rather than just the strict early drop off times for grooming pets.

If anyone knows of someone looking for an easy job, could ya spread this around?

We're looking for More Kennel help and another groomer.

Starting pay for Kennel Help is 14.00. Kennel position will start as part-time, with full time possible for the right person. Position will be 3-7 days a week evenings, and 2-3 mornings. Adding up to 20-30 hours per week to start.

Grooming position, will all depend on experience of applicant applying. We're willing to train, with qualified applicant.

Looking for someone that loves pets, is dependable and has own transportation!

Just a heads up to everyone in our grooming/boarding family...

Contrary to what you may have heard in rumors going around? We are still in business, like we have been for the past 31 years.

Yes, we do have things up for sale. But it is a very speciality property, and specific buyers we're aiming for.

So if we sell? It will still be a grooming and boarding facility, as it has been.

But I will say that when Gromit was dying, I kept repeating the words, “Thank you.” In Red’s case, too late for him to hear, I kept repeating, “I’m sorry.”

How could a dog’s death hurt as much as that of a relative? The author assesses that feeling.
