We are having so much fun this week at our Advanced Camp! Thank you so much Lana Ciaramella for giving our riders a clinic from a judges perspective and helping us as a team to prepare for the upcoming IEA season! We learned so much! Very excited for our upcoming shows, and IEA season!

How much weight can a horse carry?

In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount.

They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can’t carry it anymore.

They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babies before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations.

They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs.

If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all.

The Emerald creek crew had a fantastic day at the Tymor Equestrian Center horse show this past Sunday! We had a lot of “firsts”🥇this show.
First time Tito’s, “big” Zorro, and Rascal jumped at a horse show with their riders Carli, Helen, and Evie. They did absolutely amazing!
First away horse shows for Rascal, “little” Zorro, and Casper with their riders Evie, Leanna, and Alyssa. As well as rider Carys and our best boy Brady!
First time moving up a division for Pumpkin and Sophie! Definitely a success!
Ricky had his first away horse show in almost 2 years after overcoming some show nerves he came back to it like an old pro and was guided through the day by his rider and biggest fan Hailey!
Bonnie and Rain are still new to showing and for the first time they came out like they do this every weekend with their riders Evie and Caroline. Settling into their new careers. Showing so much improvement! Hard work pays off!
Pumpkin and Emme have been growing together all spring and this show seamed to be the first time all the show nerves washed away and they just let that partnership shine through! The best feeling!
The big takeaway from this show and all these experiences, is that for all these riders, the horse always comes first! 🥇They love these horses so much! When given a compliment about their amazing rides, they all instantly said how great there horse did and it was all because of them! So proud to be there coach!

Such a great day at the HVHJA show at Meadow Creek Farm! It was our first time out this year, and for some of our horses there first show ever! Everyone did amazing and there was much love for our wonderful horses!

Teddy
Teddy is the truest version of a real life teddy bear! He is the most gentle, loving horse with a true heart of gold. He has been such a joy to bring along in our program, and is a barn favorite of ours, and anyone that crosses his path.
Teddy is 100% in every way, gentle, safe, and sound.
Teddy is the definition of an all-around horse. He will transition from western to english with ease, and just loves to trail ride. He will go for hours at a steady, happy walk.
He will lope beautiful circles, and is like riding a big comfy couch. Teddy will move off your aids and leg pressure, side passes to the mounting block for you to mount and dismount, and will lay down. All of this he will do with or without a bridle!
Teddy is safe and gentle enough for children and beginner riders. He has been used for lessons and handles anything new that is thrown his way. This horse is as “bombproof “as they come. Check out his video!
On the trail, Teddy is brave and confident, and will take care of his rider from start to finish. He crosses creeks, logs, bridges, and roads. He will go from a steady walk to a lope when asked, then back to a loose rein walk. He will trail ride alone or with the company of others. From day one Teddy has never questioned anywhere we have pointed him, including the ocean!
Teddy is a beautiful bay roan, is four years old, and stands at 16 hands. He is strong, sturdy and is built to last a lifetime.
Teddy has countless miles of training both in and out of the arena. He has always impressed us with his willingness to work and always says “Yes!” to any question asked of him.
We just can’t say enough great things about this horse! He is exactly how he is presented in his video! He is not only a great horse for the whole family to enjoy riding but will become part of the family with his sweet, loving personality and gentle way.
