BeFreegle’s AIT (ambassador in training) is turning three years old today! She’s become a typical nosey, hungry beagle teenager. Eva retired from biomedical research back in late 2023. She was not only the smallest in her group (all 15 lbs of her) but painfully shy and scared. It took a lot of coaxing and love to build her confidence to where she’s at today. Every dog from research can learn to live a full life outside the lab when given the opportunity. Eva is hoping there’s a pupcake with her name on it later today. 🧁 Happy birthday my sweet and spicy tiny girl, you are so loved. 💖

Today is National Beagle Day. (Although if you ask a beagle every day is beagle day)
To celebrate here’s a sneak peak of one of our incoming senior freegles. We’re told this little guy is very sweet and super shy. Can you just boop his lil nose?! We’re coming little buddy, 10 more days!!
We’ll be driving halfway across the US to pick up these senior sweeties to bring them to NY for their new leash on life.
Pre-approved applicants get pick of the litter. To apply visit our website and fill out an adoption application. BeFreegle is located in the mid Hudson Valley of NY.
This next group will be ready to go to their forever homes on May 4th after a quick once over from our vet.

Meet Poe: Our Sweet, Shy Boy Still Looking for His Forever Home.

Unfortunately, Poe’s adoption fell through—not because of him, but because the home just wasn’t the right fit for our gentle boy. We know Poe deserves a loving and understanding family, and we’re not giving up on finding him the perfect match!
Poe may be a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’s the sweetest and most chill companion you could ask for.
