Dogs are creatures of habit. When more frequent grooming is done, dogs come to know what to expect and are comfortable with the routine of the grooming process.
Stretching out grooms too far apart makes this process harder on the dog in many ways.
- They become less familiar with the groomer and routine causing them stress and anxiety.
- They tend to have more coat issues like matting, which makes the grooming process longer, harder, and more uncomfortable.
Both of these are not going to help shine a positive light on the experience for the following visits. This ultimately leads to a negative cycle of building a fearful, hard to groom dog.

By maintaining a consistent grooming schedule, dogs are more likely to stay relaxed and comfortable, making the experience better for both the dog and the groomer.

Updated and simplified. Basic baths will still be offered to those who need( for those times the dogs get into mud, 💩 or who knows 🤢 and just needs a good bath) but this isn't something most are looking for regularly so I took off the price list to ease confusion 😁

This is exactly how I feel also! I like to make the doggies feel the pampering and feel comfortable and not rushed, poked and proded just to get them out the door. Amazing what treats and love will do for the grooming process ❤️

Did you know paw maintenance is more than just nail trimming?

Yes nail trimming is extremely important, but there are other areas of the paw that need attention also!

The hair down there-
Our dogs paws not only collect dirt, grim and whatever else they may step in, but the hairs between their pads act as a Swiffer duster and bring all that stuff into your home. On long haired dogs this hair constantly grows. Not trimming this area can lead to knotting that makes walking painful, like walking with rock in your shoe. It
Restricts foot movement.It holds in moisture and dirt causing more matting while reducing the dogs ability to cool itself down ( because as you may know dogs sweat from their feet!) this can lead to open sores and infections.

Paw pads!
This time of year especially we all notice our feet and heels get a bit dry and scratchy. Well dogs are not so different in this aspect! Their paw pads get dry and cracked as well and need special dog lotion and balms to keep their pads soft and healthy. Cracks in their pads can be not only painful but makes the dog more susceptible to illnesses/infection.

Overall wellness- while groomers can help keep the hair and pads looking great, it is important to remember after taking your pet out to check their feet. This time of year rock salt is a big concern as this can cause burns to your dogs pads. In the summer hot surfaces outside can easily burn paws. Dirt, bugs( ticks especially!) and painful foxtails can easily make their way into our pets feet . Wipe, dry and inspect your dogs feet each time they go out to help keep an eye on all these things, reduce dog and human allergies and ensure the health of their feet
