I don't have any giant sunflowers in the garden this year. But I do have some tiny ones along with some other beautiful annuals and perennials. I am enjoying all the colors.

Carmella does not like to share, but so far she and Heather are doing a great job raising them together, while Oreo keeps an eye on everyone.

18 Muscovy Hens hatched this summer. Many carry barred or ripple genes.

Kid updates... (3 of 3)

Russet is outside with his mom and the rest of the herd and doing FANTASTIC!

He is HUGE!!! 6.7 lbs and about the length of my forearm!

And great news... Not only does Russet have gorgeous blue eyes, he is also polled, which means he and some of his future offspring will not have to be disbudded! 🥳🙌

Kid updates ... (2 of 3)

Raven is 2.7 lbs. Her milk scours are also gone and both baby girls are looking and smelling a lot cleaner! 🤢😂

She HATES being bottle fed still and refuses to suck on it, but she has started eating hay and even did a little hop last night!

It was such a relief to know we're finally making some real progress with her and she'll be back to being a happy baby goat soon!

Reese is doing awesome with her bottles now and weighs 2.5 lbs.

Her milk scours are gone. (Thank goodness! 🤢) She is bright eyed and mischievous and can't wait to break through the confines of the living room! 😂

Each year we give our baby goats temporary names until their new families pick their own.

This year they had to be "R" names.

Bailey has a new friend! 🐕🐐

This little girl only weighs 2 lbs and had a rough start yesterday. 🥺 She isn't sucking on her bottles or momma and could barely stand yesterday. Unfortunately she is definitely going to have to be a bottle baby, which means I now have a newborn to feed every couple of hours and clean off her t**h almost constantly. 😴

We're not out of the woods yet by any means, but she is doing much better today. And Bailey is obsessed, but also being sooo sweet!
