To Our Loyal Clients,

As you might have seen on the news, a canine respiratory infection has spread throughout the United States. We are not permitting pets with respiratory issues, such as coughing and sneezing, into our building so our clients will be safe. We have also been sanitizing our equipment and facility between each service to eliminate potential pathogens. We ask those who have traveled within the past two weeks or have had dogs boarded in a kennel to quarantine for at least one week before making an appointment so we can ensure the safety of our furry friends. If your pet still needs to be fully vaccinated or has pre-existing health conditions, we ask you to coordinate with your veterinarian before making an appointment. We thank you for your cooperation during this time. We know all vets are working hard to find a vaccine for this sickness. If you have any questions, please let us know!

Our beloved furry and human friends' safety is our top priority. We ask that our clients refrain from using retractable leashes when visiting the salon. We recommend a 4ft or 6ft length leash. 🐕
Let's all do our part to prevent injuries. 🙂

*If you must use a retractable leash, please make sure it is a locked position 🔒 and in good working order before entering the salon.*
Also as per our salon policy, please leave your flea collars at home.

Brittney Wright is the receptionist and bather at The Critter Clippers, bringing a wealth of professional expertise to bear. Having honed her skills for two years in Small Animal Science at BOCES in Ashville, NY, she then undertook and completed the Vet Technician program at Penn Foster. Living in Warren alongside her husband and two children, Brittney shares her home with an endearing quartet of canine compassions: Luca, Violet, Mila, and Rashi.

Sherre Spackman has been dog grooming for 46 years; she graduated from the New York School of Dog Grooming in 1977. She was once the owner of Tails-A-Waggin’ in Warren, PA. She loves working and having fun with the folks at The Critter Clippers. Come and see us with your doggies!

In addition to being the head groomer/salon manager at The Critter Clippers, Jenny Lynn has been a farmhand, kennel technician, vet tech, and doggy daycare attendant. They were also the owner/operator of Rainbow Hearts Rattery & Rescue for six years, a rescue for pocket pets; nearly 500 small pets found loving families during their tenure. As a teen, they discovered their love of dog grooming, giving haircuts to the Cocker Spaniels and Shih Tzus their family raised. They have eight years of experience in grooming and have a knack for working with special needs, fearful, and difficult animals. They are also a whiz at providing fast and efficient nail trims.

Their other interests in the industry include cat grooming and creative grooming, both skill sets they are brushing up on before offering those options to clients. They enjoy playing video games, hiking, arts and crafts, concerts, and adventures outside the salon. They live in Warren with their partner and family. Their previous certifications include Human and Pet First Aid/CPR and Fear Free Vet CP. They proudly support 4-H, Girl Scouts, the Rescue, and the Pride and Pagan communities of Warren County. They have also been a supporter/volunteer for The Fallen Soldiers Memorial Dice Run and Kane VFW Riders Post 1132 - Bucktail Patriot Chapter.

🐾Did you know that The Critter Clippers on Conewango Ave have a Pet Pantry?🐾
Available resources are provided to members of the Warren community that need a little helping hand. Donations are also distributed to local animal rescues.

Current community needs: Dog and puppy food, cat and kitten food, cat litter, and gently used pet items.

Items can be dropped off Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-3pm at 2935 Conewango Ave, Warren. If you need to drop off at another time, please call 814-726-2935.

Kris Thomas took ownership of The Critter Clippers in July 2023. She has a passion for pet grooming that resides deep within her. Before this venture, she dedicated her efforts as a volunteer at Paws Along the River Humane Society in Warren, PA. Living in Starbrick, she shares her home with her family and a spirited trio of dachshunds: Romeo, Allie, and Augie.
