Caution! Caution! Caution!

We love the new parking lot at Warren County Visitors Bureau, but the fresh coat makes it extremely slippery. Please try to avoid parking in the angled spots facing the park.

Here's a cautionary 'tail' that was shared with us: My Toyota did it [went right off the edge] BEFORE the new coat was added.

Yikes! Please be careful!

A few reminders so we can have nice things:
- BEFORE you use the park, please register and and agree to follow the rules of the park. The Warren County Visitors Bureau has printed copies of this form, too. It takes 2 minutes. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSck2bNRkh7N_ycWuQAskBOqslGZbTut_FywnOk5h1S_uhk1KA/viewform

- Please take your dogs off leash inside the park. In addition to being the biggest purpose of a dog park (being off-leash), dogs feel more vulnerable when they're on a leash and when dogs feel vulnerable they're more likely to be aggressive towards others.

- Please use the walking ramp we built instead of walking down the hill from the parking lot. Your dogs are probably very excited to be at the park and can pull you down. We don't want anyone getting hurt.

- Join our group and post when you're planning to be there so it's more fun for everybody: Meet, Sniff, Run, Play at Woofington

🐾 Dog parks are a simple yet effective way for your dog to get exercise, have fun, and get socialized. Woofington Dog Park will give your dog over an acre of safe green space to exercise and roam around freely without the restriction of a leash.

🐾 Dog parks bring the community closer. A recent study likened pets to avatars in interactive online games. The dogs help owners navigate familiar conversations, participate in outdoor group activities, and meet new people.

🐾 Dog parks allow those with a common interest in maintaining their pooch's health to discuss the best options for the best friend, including pet stores, food, dog sitters, groomers, and veterinarians.

🐾 Dog parks give dogs freedom. Leash laws in cities are becoming increasingly more strict due to potential for property damage and attacks, so dog parks give the opportunity to roam and roll around without any tugging on leashes. Dog parks also keep four-legged friends safe from cars and busy sidewalks while allowing them to get adequate off-leash exercise and social activity.

All humans using the dog park must read and agree to the park rules. Take 5 minutes to review and fill out this form now so that you can enjoy the park. If this form is not completed, you will be considered trespassing on private property, and nobody wants that headache!

Woofington Dog Park is completely free to use from dawn to dusk. If you would like to contribute to the park, we are a registered 501c3 nonprofit and will always accept your financial donation to help with park maintenance and improvements. If you would like to contribute physical items to the park such as benches or landscaping, please contact us before any purchases are made.

We have good news and bad news. Good news first: our fence is 90% constructed. Bad news: there's still some work to be done on the land that the fence surrounds. For the safety of you and your dog(s), please do not use the dog park yet. We're very close to opening up and we promise it will be worth the wait!

We're excited to be getting closer in turning this vacant lot in to a park for our pooches. But first, we need your continued help!

One of the defining features of a dog park is its fence. Our park will have over 1,200 linear feet of 5' fencing. This is a great advertising opportunity for your business. You can place a customized, vinyl banner for as low as $150 per year on our fence.

Being next to Route 6 and Warren County Visitors Bureau makes this a great advertising spot. Over 11,000 vehicles travel this section of Route 6 per day.
