As many of you have heard Deputy C. Pine and K9 Diesel (Orange Co. Sheriff, Vermont) are here for canine training.
On Monday, 4-6-2020, we completed training just before 2100 hours. K9 teams were headed back and Deputy Pine stopped at the local DQ for a meal. She told me later she chuckled when the server offered a pup cup for K9 Diesel. She never heard of such a thing for dogs. She even told Diesel he had his own little treat and she couldn’t wait to see how he liked it. Minutes later as they pulled through a near by intersection the officer were hit.
Two of our other student officers were the first on scene. Deputy Pine was unconscious and K9 Diesel was not moving. Her cruiser was buckled and no door could open. Officers broke out the window and Deputy Pine came to. Her first concern was her boy K9 Diesel.
Both were transported for their injuries. This video was from their first meeting on Wednesday, April 8 when Deputy Pine was released.
Recovery is slow and the future for K9 Diesel is unknown. He shows very good but we are not sure how his duties for patrol work will be. His love for narcotic detection was tested yesterday and he did awesome. But, patrol work is more strenuous on the neck and spine.
Deputy Pine does have injuries that will need attention once she returns to Vermont.

We will move the ones I don’t feel are suitable for detection work. So with that said, we will sell for $300.00. This is to get them into a GOOD home. No sticking out on a chain and running loose in the neighborhood homes. It’s a crack deal for the value of the parents.
