Happy Friday! 🎉 We’ve had another great week of adoptions! Eight of our amazing pets, seven sweet pups and one purrrrfect kitty have found their loving, forever homes! 🏡💖

Ladybird, Cider, Ziti, Lee, Zola, TaTa, Mr. Pibb, and Pearl are off to start their next chapters… happily ever after! ✨🐶🐱

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible adopters for choosing rescue and giving these deserving souls the love they deserve. We can’t wait for all the happy updates to come! 💕

Life’s better with a little GoJo — sweet, silly, and full of love.❤️

A 5-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his smile. He’s the total package: calm, kind, and full of that irresistible Shepherd charm. GoJo has an easygoing nature that makes him great with other dogs, and he loves meeting new people—always greeting everyone with a wag and a sparkle in his eye.

✨ Mr. Buttons (9 yrs, 13 lbs, Pomeranian)
Don’t let the fluff fool you—Mr. Buttons is a little dude with a big-dog attitude. He’s not into sparkles or being toted around like royalty. This “walk beside me, bro” kind of guy prefers the company of men, takes his time choosing his people, and rewards loyalty with endless laughs and affection. Confident, independent, and delightfully sassy, he’s the cranky-but-lovable grandpa you can’t help but adore.

🦛 NORMA 🦛
Velvet hippo up for adoption! A lap velvety hippo at that! We can not get Norma out of here and we don’t get it. She does have to be the only permanent resident, but she is dog friendly and has 🐶 friends here at the haven. She just doesn’t want to live with them full-time. Ya know?

Miss Norma has been going on adventures and sniffing her heart out. 👃🏻 She also spent a weekend at the lake and that was the bees knees! She is a dog, but also can’t wait to turn into a burrito and take a snooze! 😴

Norma is roughly 3️⃣ years old and 60ish lbs.

🤎 BRONX 🤎
Introducing our newest heart throb, Mr. Bronx. 😍 He is dog friendly and a total love bug. 🐞 He will face dive into your lap (without taking you to dinner first 👀) and has no problem requesting more pets by showing you his t**h. B knows how to sit and takes his treats gently. Note: If you lay on the ground, he will lay his neck across your neck and do you a heckin squish.

Bronx is 6️⃣ years old and 70ish. lbs of compact beef. This guy believes everybody is a friend and hopes his family finds him ASAP! We are CERTAIN you’ll love him. 🤎

These two girls came in together. Both are dog friendly, very people friendly, and young! They take their treats gently and are so, so sweet.

🩷 Winn-Dixie — scruffaluffagus (poodle/corso/GSD), 55 lbs., 6️⃣ months old and knows how to sit!

Udon has been waiting over four years for a home, workers at the shelter say the beagle Dachshund would be best in a home with one person in it, and has to be the only dog.

📺 TONIGHT at 5PM! Our very own superstar is hitting the big screen!
Tune in to Fox 2 Detroit to see Mr. Udon, our low riding and adoptable fella, who has been waiting YEARS for his person to find him! 🏡 We LOVE this guy and can’t wait to see him peace up out of the rescue life for good!

Legend is a total sweetheart who adores people and never says no to belly rubs! She’s a wonderful car companion and enjoys calm dog friendships — no rough players for this gentle girl. Like many huskies, she’s full of zest and curiosity, so continued training will help her channel her smarts and energy into fun adventures. 🐾

🚒 Cookie hits up the fire station!
Our fav foster firefighter took in Miss Cooks and she had a riot! Here’s what we learned:

Cookie is very excitable and curious, but will settle down and cuddle! She adores car rides and boat rides. 🚤 She’s a very good running companion, as well (📢 paging active folk!!). She is extremely into people pleasing and will respond to training sounds and treats.

Cooks is the ZOOMIE queen! 🏎️ She would definitely benefit from some training to keep her active self being the best she can be. She also may or may not like to chase some 🐿️ and keep your yard and pest free as possible.

Cookie is 1️⃣ year old, 50 lbs., and dog friendly! This girl needs OUT!
