Yesterday we tried something that has never been done before and asked the community for help and oh boy did the community show up in a huge way! Every single dog that was inside the shelter yesterday got to go for a walk through town! We had more volunteers show up than we had dogs which is absolutely amazing. I’m sorry that not everyone got to walk a dog but just know your presence was felt through our souls. Thank you to everyone for making this possible and for showing your support to the dogs, staff, and the cause. We can not wait to do this again! The dogs got a much needed trip outside and enjoyed the weather and the social interaction. Needless to say once they all got back and got settled the shelter was very quiet because everyone was worn out! From the bottom of our hearts thank you everyone for being part of such a memorable day!

Can someone help me find my hoomans??? I am a large young Great Pyrenees male that is not neutered. I was found on East 5th Ave this morning and I am now at Paws but I really just want to go home. Please tell them to call the shelter at 814-726-1961

If anyone is looking for something to do tomorrow, meet us at the shelter at 12:30 and come walk a dog with us! We are going to try and get every dog out for a group walk! Must be 18+ to walk a dog. Walk will start at 1! If you see us tomorrow give us a honk!
