Courtney and I are stacking our days up to accommodate all the fur babies before Christmas but we are almost all booked up. We even opened up our day off next week to make sure we can make everybody fresh for Santa.

We have a couple appointments left on Wednesday the 18th.
1 spot left on Thursday the 19th at 2pm.
And one spot left on Friday the 20th at 8:30am.

Hurry and grab those appointments before it’s too late 🐾💗🐶

The mailman just delivered a package to Pinky’s. I opened it and it’s a puzzle of 101 dogs taking a dump 🤣 there is no name on the package and I’m just curious who sent it! It’s hilarious. If it was somebody on here, please let me know!

Emily Austin & Josh Buchalski just dropped off 40 giant and soft blankies for DDR along with 2 bags of food. So beyond generous. I cannot wait to drop everything off. ❤️ it’s only been a couple of days and we have so many donations already. You guys rock!! 🐾💗 Thank you 🙏🏼

I forgot to post about the sweet, sweet kitties! I will find a nearby kitty shelter to donate to. We’ve already got some kitty litter, treats and food donated and the cash box set up. We can’t wait to see how many donations we get 🐾💗🤗🎅❤️

Also, we found a bunch of nick nacks while we were cleaning the shop. We are giving everything away for free. We will probably be tossing the items next week, so if you want something, come grab it!

One reason we are so excited to get back to the shop before the holidays is for our food drive. Before Covid hit, Eric would do a food and money donation for Detroit Dog Rescue. Our lobby would be FULL of bags of dog food and we would raise a considerable amount of cash donations to give them. After Covid, he never started it up again. We would LOVE to see our lobby full of food again and give those babies at DDR a good Christmas. Please no opened food.
We will also accept lightly used but clean blankets / new toys

Gifts from friends, customers, and family after my first day open today! Kevin Fisher with the chocolate covered raisins. My boyfriends parents Colleen Albosta ‘& Kevin Albosta, & Brendan Glenwright with the beautiful flowers. A goodie basket from Buddy Thomas’s mom (you’re not popping up when I tag on Facebook but I swear you’re following this page, I’m sorry!) and a crew neck and car decal made from my BFF Kenzie Watterson.

Thank you guys so much 🙏🏼 thank you to everybody who has been sharing my post. Thank you to everybody who stopped in today just to say hi, everybody who stopped in for nail trims the second they got word that we were opening, the people who came in and looked at the memorial and cried thinking about the memories of Eric. He would be so happy. Pinky, his shop, his employees and his customers all together. I’m just so happy.

As you can see the dogs were working hard today ! It was so great to be back, it felt like home, like I wasn’t even at work. Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life and I’m doin it 😍🐾

Tomorrow is opening day!!!

The thing that was prohibiting us from opening was our sign. The city of Warren is very backed up and the permit for my sign has been pending and I was told it’s still going to be pending for about two weeks. But, Rachel from sign & more in Troy went above and beyond to help me be able to open by flipping the old Shear Delight paneling over plain white paneling.

That being said , the opening is not going 100% like I had planned in my head. I wanted to have my sign and everything be perfect, but luckily everybody on schedule tomorrow were clients of Shear Delight that followed us groomers over to Claws and Paws and will be back with us at Pinky’s.

Even though it won’t be exactly like I imagined I am so happy and excited to be able to get back to homebase and see all of you beautiful people over here. I have more sappy things to say, but I will write that in another post because right now I’m just way too excited and my insides are doing backflips.

Inspection is tomrorow!! We are getting so close! We cannot wait to turn this open sign on!! 🐶 🐾

One of the things that we have been so excited to do is create this memorial for Eric, Debbie, and Shear Delight Pet Salon. They have provided the community with expert Dog Grooming and lots of love for SO many years.

We will continue to keep you guys posted about our opening date. Stay tuned, It’s coming soon! 🥳
