Intact female small mixed breed puppy found on the side of 13 Hwy north of town past the roundabouts. No chip, no collar.

Female gray long haired cat. No chip. She was found on W. North St. in Warrensburg.

To reclaim an animal, owner will need picture proof and a photo ID.

The dog is an intact male found in the K**b Noster post office parking lot.

Two dogs brought into the shelter.

RECLAIMED - The black and white dog is an intact male found on N. Wall St. in Leeton.

The brown and white dog is a male found on Maguire St. in front of Casey’s. He is microchipped but the email on the chip is not in use.

To reclaim an animal, owner will need picture proof and a valid photo ID.

Well, it's great weather for chili...but not CHILLY dogs! 🥶

We will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC on TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, due to the sub-freezing temperatures. DON'T WORRY--All animals are being cared for during this time (just like we do every day of the year). We will be keeping an eye on the weather the rest of the week and promise to keep you posted of our hours as the week progresses.

SAFETY is a top priority--for animals and people. No reason to get out in these sub-freezing temperatures unless it's absolutely necessary. Stay safe, and stay warm! We'll see you soon! 🐾❤️

Hi, I'm Cedar! I am a suspected adult medium Australian Kelpie mix. Despite my breed, I have moderate energy levels. I'm a sweet, gentle girl who loves the company of people. I may not be your best friend right away, but it doesn't take me long at all to warm up. My history is unknown, but shelter staff believe my full personality will shine through once I transition to a home environment. I'm decent on leash and cooperative, so basic manners will be a breeze for me to learn. I just want to find my people and be with them. I am available to meet other dogs.

The New Year is approaching and with the celebrations comes fireworks! We are excited to begin 2025 here at the shelter, but we don't want you to start the year off by missing your furry friends! Here are some things you can do BEFORE New Year's Eve to ensure your pet is safe and secure:

- Use a permanent marker to write your phone number on the inside of your dog's collar
- If your dog is microchipped, make sure your contact information is up to date
- If you're dog takes situational anxiety medication make sure the prescription is up to date
- Locate your anxious dog's thunder jacket
- Make sure everyone in the house knows the protocol for letting the dog outside or keeping them in during celebrations
