Winter hasn’t had enough this week. Tomorrow, Saturday, January 11th, 2025, we are having a delayed opening until 10am due to impending snow overnight.

⛄️ If you have an appointment scheduled, we will reach out to reschedule today. Stay safe everyone! We know those back roads aren’t paved yet.

🩺 OPEN NORMAL HOURS TOMORROW! 🐾

This just in, we are open normal hours tomorrow, January 7th, 2025. Snow day is over, time to get back to work!

💉 If you have an appointment and have to reschedule for any reason, please call in the morning! We will get to everyone as soon as we can. We will be open 8am - 7pm.

❄️ REMINDER! We are closed for Snow today! We hope everyone stays safe and warm while mother nature gets this snow storm out of her system. ☃️

Please take pictures of what your furry friends are doing today! We miss them already and the social media people are bored at home. Don’t make Lily be the only one who was forced to get a cute snow photo 😂

Due to the anticipated snow storm tomorrow, The Willow will be closing on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

⛄️ If you have an appointment scheduled, an employee will reach out to you today to reschedule.

Please enjoy the snow with your furry friends and family, or cuddle up next to a fire place if you hate snow. If you have to travel, please drive safe!

⛄️ We will continue to monitor for Tuesday the 7th and will update you as needed.

🐴 Horse lovers! It’s your time to shine again. Alice made you all another horse quilt for those of you who missed the last one. Raffle ends February 1st, you have one month! Tickets are $5 for 1 or $20 for 5. Tickets must be purchased in hospital. Happy New Year!

Reminder of our Holiday Hours through the rest of this year!

We are closed:
December 31st, January 1st
(New Years Eve, New Years) 🎆

If your pet needs a refill on meds (ESPECIALLY sedatives for fireworks!) Please, don’t hesitate to get refills on those. Our staff are already hard at work to get everything filled in time. Make sure they’re not expired if you’ve had them a while!

Starting January 1st we are changing our hours to the following:

Monday - Friday: 8am – 7pm
Saturdays: 8am – 6pm
We are still Closed Sundays

Presenting Pet of the Week, Ellie! 🐈

Ellie is a 17 week old kitten who was recently adopted in time for the holidays. She visited us for her first kitten exam and got her first big kid vaccine. 💉

While here, she mentioned to Dr. K that her ears were itchy, and wouldn’t you know, there was a party inside! She must have gotten lonely at her old home so she made her own friends- literally. Ellie has ear mites! 😱

Never fear, Revolution Plus to the rescue! We cleaned those dirty ears and sent home the Revolution, which will help ensure the mites never come back.

16/10, Ellie. We’re your friends now. You don’t have to grow your own ever again.

Happy ! 🐈 Thomas is getting all cozy with the changing weather. We almost always have the space heater running in the back now, and when he’s not sleeping on that, he’s sleeping next to one of us. He also has his stuffed Giardia with him! (The plushie is modeled after a Giardia trophozoite)

Have you been to The Willow lately? We’re hosting a Christmas door decorating contest! 🎄 🚪The Staff and Doctors worked day and night to make these doors, some even came in while we were closed for it. Help us decide the winner by voting for your favorite!

The Warrenton Christmas Parade is a wrap! 🎄 We all had such a blast in our first parade and everyone both two paws or four stayed nice and toasty during the cold night. Did anyone see us walk down Main Street? Bonus points if you have pictures! 📷

Introducing a new sometimes segment: Tommy Tuesday!

Tommy is our office cat. He was a former feral who belonged to Dr. Smith and was rescued by him several years ago. He now spends his days getting loved on by the staff and his new mommy, Dr. Kasmierski 💕

This week Tommy took it a little too far with the treats. Reports state that he looked a technician in the eyes while he knocked them over.

It’s time for a very special Rainbow bridge Pet of the Week: 🌈

Presenting, Louie. Louie was a senior Pug near and dear to all of our hearts, but especially to Dr. Smith. Louie was actually one of the last big cases that Dr. Smith helped oversee before his own passing.

Back in May we met Louie for the first time. He presented with a history of diabetes, bladder stones and a possible UTI. He ended up getting a Cystotomy with us not long after, and had a rough time with recovery where he ended up meeting all of the staff during the following days.

Dr. Smith loved all of his patients, but Pugs were among his favorite, especially Louie. Louie gave us so much anxiety following the surgery, it was hard not to love him!

Louie’s mom had to make the difficult decision to move him to his next adventure this week. We all take comfort in knowing he had a friend waiting for him on the other side.

Staff remember him as being a happy go lucky little guy! Even when he was feeling yucky, he still put on a smile for us when we did diagnostics on him. We love you, Louie! ❤️
