Mary Pat Corrigan, CMT, is certified in canine, equine, and human massage therapy and is a Reiki Master Level practitioner. She has been a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner for dogs, horses, cats, pet steer, llamas, rabbits, birds, and people. Her business, Blue Moon Wellness, opened in 2007 and provides body and energy work for animals and people.

Our pets can experience many forms of pain just like we do. Chronic pain can present as small subtle changes over time that are often considered signs of "getting old" or "slowing down". Acute pain is more immediate and obvious. Willow offers physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, and laser therapy treatment options to help keep our pet companions feeling their best.

September is animal pain awareness month, pain can adversely affect quality of life in our furry companions. We will be highlighting ways to understand and manage pain over the rest of this month.

Willow offers theraputic laser treatments to help decrease inflamation and pain caused by arthritis, post-operative swelling, and other painful conditions.

Kimber the Labrador, and her human brother, visited Dr. Kasmierski for her initial puppy exam and vaccine boosters on Friday. Our team loved getting to snuggle this little cutie to ensure her first visit was a success. What a perfect puppy!

There is a new quilt up for raffle! These beautiful works of art are handmade by our front office coordinator, Alice. She made this quilt in special memory of our beloved Dr. Kent Smith in honor of his love of cows.

To enter to win this one of a kind quilt, please visit our front desk. Tickets are $5 each or 5/$20. All proceeds from the quilt raffle go to the Dr. Kent Smith Memorial Fund. The raffle ends on October 3rd.

The Willow Animal Hospital Team would like to thank everyone who has contributed to Dr. Smith’s Go Fund Me. The outpouring of support and generosity is beyond our expectations. The money raised will allow the hospital to continue to assist clients who don’t have the financial means to pay for the services or products received, care for pets surrendered to the hospital until they find a loving home, reimburse the hospital for products and services owed by clients who failed to fulfill their financial commitment, and pay towards operational expenses during our transition period.

Dr. Smith touched so many lives in his passion for veterinary medicine and his love for animals. He provided products and services at reduced prices for clients who had limited financial means, offered payment plans, gave free complimentary services, offered discounts to rescue groups, law enforcement, active duty and retired military. We are working to set up a 501c3 non profit in Dr. Smith’s memory for future donations.

Willow Animal is committed to keeping Dr. Smith's dream alive to offer the highest standard of care to the community he dearly loved. The team is working hard to hire a veterinarian and contract with relief surgeons to ensure our patients continue to receive the care they deserve in a timely and compassionate manner.
