💙Say Hello to Lugnut!💙Named after the small, rugged but ever so important component of a vehicle, Lugnut is small but mighty! He was born into the amish community and served some time in a lesson program for young kids. Born in 2012, this adorable miniature horse is broke to ride, drive and even has experience jumping cross country. He’s already made his place in the program providing riding lessons to our younger clients and visiting our off-site community partners. In his spare time he loves going for walks and getting kisses from his favorite kiddo, Annabelle.

Meet Mac - a testament to the profound impact our programs can have.

When Mac first came to Special Equestrians in 2018 he was struggling with motor delays, communication skills and attention. Mac’s physical therapist advised his mom, Kathy, to find something for Mac that involved motivating activities. With his known love for animals, Kathy turned to Special Equestrians. “My favorite part is knowing that they are seeing what I’m doing and that they are amazed.” Mac explains. “And we are amazed,” shares, Kathy. “We’re so happy to see how much joy he has when he’s riding. His progress is amazing with what he’s able to do when he’s on a horse.” Your donation, no matter the size, helps create more opportunities for children and adults like Mac to experience the healing power of horses through equine-assisted activities and therapies.
