After a dreary week, these pups certainly brightened our afternoon!
Jesse, a Rottweiler puppy, was so sweet and made us melt with those eyes. And Bailey, a mini golden doodle, was so happy and playful, we couldn’t help but smile! Both of them were such good, brave boys! (And don’t let them fool you, they each got plenty of cheese!)

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂! As ticks feed, they will increase in size. The longer the tick is attached and feeding, the greater your risk of acquiring a tickborne illness if the tick is a carrier. We hear stories about individuals or medical professionals disposing of ticks because they are large and not the small ticks which cause illness. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲!!!! A large tick could be a blacklegged tick full of a meal. Unsure of what type of tick you have? We identify ticks for 🅵🆁🅴🅴! Visit ticklab.org/identify-my-tick

It wont be long until spring weather rolls around, and with it, the increased risk of tick exposure for people and pets alike. We want to share an online resource, for the state of Pennsylvania, that may help you better track the dangers of tick exposure for you and your pets, no matter the season.

❄️Tick activity remains low with these cold temperatures across the Northeast US! As temperatures begin to rise later in the week, and snow melts, activity of ticks could increase. Continue following us for more tick activity news! Stay safe and warm ❄️

We’d love to start the new year off with finding this sweet boy’s family! This very friendly, intact, male cat was found wandering around Huntingdon Furnace Road and brought in to check to see if he had a microchip. Unfortunately, no chip was found, but he does have a seresto collar on. We treated him for a few minor scrapes, and he was a perfect gentleman! If you recognize this handsome fella, please call the office.

This is Sam, he thoroughly enjoyed coming to the clinic with his sisters today. Unlike most cats, he wasn’t worried one bit about upcoming exams and vaccines. He charmed the entire staff and made himself quite comfortable resting on Dr. Laura’s charts. He even tried snacking on the edges of her paperwork! We loved having this big, confident, friendly boy come visit us today!❤️🎄

This holiday season, and especially today, on Small Business Saturday, all of us here at Town and Country want to thank you for your continued support. We are proud to have served and helped our community for over 30 years. And this is a testament to our wonderful clients patients- we wouldn't still be here without you! We hope to continue to help and treat our community for another 30 years.
Wondering how you can continue to support us further? We're so glad you asked! We're sure you've heard of "buy local, stay local," and that applies to veterinary medicine as well! If you haven't heard of our online pharmacy "Vetsource," this is a great way to not only get your pets the medications they need, but also continue to support your local, privately owned, veterinary hospital! Our online pharmacy can be found on our website (tcvet.net), but of course, any of our wonderful team members would be happy to assist you if needed! Our sincerest gratitude to all of our patients and clients, who allow us to continue to follow our passion and love for animals and uphold our motto "Helping people, one animal at a time." ♥
