❓Have a kitty who is not entering your trap❓
TRAP TRAINING may be the answer for you!

• Securely zip tie the trap door open so the trap cannot close.

• Start with the food right in front of the trap. This is a good time to implement a feeding schedule if you haven’t already done so.

• Move the food bowl back a little each day until it’s in the back of the trap.

• When the cat is freely going in and out of the trap for food, cut the ties and set the trap as normal.

👉🏼 The only available food should be in the trap.

PLEASE don’t try to use blankest clothes towels, to warm up an animal. Use straw in a shelter. If you find a cold one please follow these guidelines and ask for help!

Update on Scotty...
We were able to determine he had in fact already had surgery. He did not have a chip or anything that could tell us more about his history. He had part of his tail amputated and is healing great. He gets his stitches removed Monday. His respitory infection has been treated and he is clear of any symptoms. HE WILL BE READY FOR ADOPTION NEXT WEEK. I will take him to PetSmart - Warsaw, IN next week, unless someone reaches out. He is such a snuggle bug and would make a paw-tastic addition to your family. Updated pictures in the comments.

Another KCTNR success story. A few weeks ago we got a call to help an elderly lady with a cat living outside her house. One of our volunteers arranged to pick the kitty up and transport to his neuter appointment. It did not take long to realize he was not in good shape. He had sores on his face and other extremities. He had a severe respitory infection, and his tail was injured. He was also flea infested. Our partners at Lakeland Animal Clinic went above and beyond to give him the medical care he needed. He then went one of our fosters for additional TLC and continued medical attention. He is definitely on the mend and demanding all the snuggles. On top of everything else, he is Cryptorchid, so we are working out how to best proceed with his neuter surgery.

Already ADOPTED!** These sweet babies found a home!

I've put it off long enough. Astro (black with a bit of white on his neck) and Army (gray tiger stripe) are going to PetSmart - Warsaw, IN today. Hopefully they will find there furr ever home. They are the best kitties. They are very much a bonded pair. We would love to see them adopted together. We will be offering a two for one special on these boys. They are both "mitten paws" - polydactyl. Stop by and meet them today!

@topfans Hey y'all! Would you PAWEASE help us find this sweet boy a home? He's older and was dumped in front of a local store, he's all up to date and ready to just hang out. He loves to play and enjoys attention, but is absolutely content just hanging out, low keep and not a needy guy. Let's get him an indoor home for Thanksgiving! He has a limp (due to arthritis) which is why he is not a good candidate for an outside home! THANK MEW MEOWY MUCH!
