Our younger jennets had fun in the snow ❄️
Murphy calling out to his girls lol
Here’s part of a video from Bo and Rider’s new owners! I think it’s safe to say that they’re comfortable in their new home 🤣 here is the message from Emilie: 😂😂We let them out to enjoy sunshine & let them explore a little in their space…we got SO tickled at them…they had been grazing for a little bit & then on their own came on porch…Lola was sitting in chair & I had just sat down on concrete…they were SO FUNNY 😂 💙
Spider, one of our 2023 foals, showing off his new jacket. Laura Darnell said he only wore it for 15.5 minutes 🤣 Spider and his “brother,” Socks, love to play tug of war with them lol! Always love seeing videos of this handsome guy!
And to think that, just a couple of months ago, they were hesitant about me petting them. Love seeing how much confidence these two have gained!!
Ass-Pirin Acres Whiskey Angel. One of our success stories for 2023/2024. When it comes to raising, training, and showing registered miniature mediterranean donkeys, we’re doing the best we can do it as correctly as possible. There are a lot of positives... but with being so involved in this world, we sometimes see the most awful situations come around. Although most of our animals are rescues, the majority of our donkeys are not, due to breeding. We promote their welfare and encourage rescuing, but our family is working towards bettering the breed. But in the summer of 2023, we took on this beautiful jennet and her companion. It was just a bonus that we found out what their given names were. It was a very long road to get her healthy again but it was so worth it. She now has a place in our family and will help promote the welfare of this amazing breed. Don’t be surprised if you see her in the show ring in 2025 🥰
Remember the two little guys I got back in October? The ones who took a few days to warm up and let me love all over them? Well here they are doing some obstacle training! So proud of these young geldings. They were handled by their breeder but did not get as much exposure as she’d like… due to losses in the family. They were used to her and were very well taken care of! But they did not experience as much as she would have liked. I took them on knowing this and I have just absolutely adored them. They are a great example of her breeding. They now walk up to strangers and are really starting to show their willingness to learn. They even come running to me when I call for them. I would love to keep these two for myself but they already have an amazing home waiting for them. I’m so grateful that I was given the opportunity to own them and see so much growth in such a short amount of time. Thank you to our client, who is buying Boo, for also helping work them yesterday! Critter Haven Ride The Wave (Rider) and Critter Haven All About Me (Bo)❤️
Client donkey, HHAA Shooting Star (Vega), from South Carolina. She is here for training. Some are just born “trained” and it’s fun when they are!
It looks like Boo will be following in her big sister’s (SAMD Lovely Lady May) footsteps. Mayzie was also amazing, at a very young age, with obstacles. She won’t be able to go home, until she’s weaned, in another few months. But it’s great to see her new owner get to work with her!
Bo and Rider have become my buddies ❤️
The geldings are brawling while Ziggy, the only jack in the field, is hanging out in the trees 🤣 love watching these boys play
