Allman is a handsome kitty who is already neutered and ready to go home. His age is estimated to be a little over a year and a half. He came to the Haven as a stray, so we're guessing not all that time was very happy. However, Allman is ready to put the past behind him where it belongs! How do we still have Vlad? Sweet seniors usually find homes pretty quickly because people hate to see them spending their retirement in a shelter. We can't imagine why no one has come for her. This girl is a peach. She's housetrained, pretty low energy (likes an easy walk but really loves lounging on a comfy bed or couch), and gets along well with other pets. Her first owner passed away, so she came to us with her dog brother, Max. They don't need to stay together. Max is much more energetic and can be bossy with Vlad. He seems to be adjusted to Haven life, but Vlad needs the housedog life! (We, of course, would love to see Max find a home, too, but he will need a bit more active family.) Meet Vlad at the Haven open 9-4 each day. Surely, someone is willing to love this girl!

Happy adoption week to Teva, Daizy Mae, Attica, Vedder, Rikers, San Quentin, and McCartney (and probably some other Petsmart kitties, too...I just don't have the list yet)! We're very fortunate Petsmart gives us the opportunity to use the adoption center to help find homes for our kitties! They've had great success there. As we're sure you know if you follow rescues, there are so many cats in need of homes. These adoptions enable us to save more lives, so whether at the sanctuary or at Petsmart, we hope you'll adopt your new best cat friend!

Little Foot is absolutely darling! She's currently about 33 pounds and is estimated at 5 1/2 months of age. She's not quite ready to leave us yet, but we bet some lucky family will adopt her right away and pick Little Foot up after her trip to the vet. Happy Saturday! Folsom and Attica are sweet babies who are already fixed and ready to go home. You can meet them (and lots of other precious dogs and cats) at the Haven open 9-4 each day. GREAT NEWS! Daizy was adopted before this post was published (it was scheduled over the weekend), and I forgot to cancel it. Congratulations, Daizy Mae and family!

Daizy Mae is grateful to have a spot at the Haven because she knows many strays (like she was) don't have a place to go. Due to irresponsible owners who don't spay and neuter their pets, there just aren't homes or spaces in rescues for all of them. Still, she knows even a nice shelter is no place for a baby to grow up. We hope she's adopted soon! Daizy is about four months old and very sweet. She'll be a perfect additoin to nearly any family!

Meet Thurston! He is a medium sized Shepherd mixed breed. His estimated DOB is 7/6/24. He weighs 50 pounds. Thurston gets along with many other dogs (a meet and greet is recommended) but may need to be fed separately, since he hasn't been accustomed to being fed on a regular basis. He loves people and seems to be eager to please. Thurston deserves to be loved by a family, so come meet him soon!

With the super cold weather and less dogs on site, staff has enjoyed having more time to work with the dogs. Busta Rhymes has received training at a previous home and he hasn’t forgotten what he had learned. Busta does great with kids, is house and crate trained. He loves to go on walks and playing ball. Bellini arrived at the Haven with nine 1 day old puppies at the end of September. Bellini has been a fabulous mom and she will make a great pet for anyone. Her puppies are adorable and many of them have beautiful blue eyes 🤩. Bellini and her puppies are now available for adoption. They will be ready to go home on 11/20. We believe Bellini is a flat coated retriever but no clue what the pups are mixed with. Adoptions are half price, so come on out and get your pick of the litter!

Cisco is doing great and is ready for her purrfect forever home. Come out and meet her any day between 9 -4. This girl is adorable and deserves to find a great home!
