Last Sunday, volunteers dedicated their time to beautify the Newark Dog Park. This entailed raking leaves, cleaning up old dog 💩, snipping branches, and more.

Newark Dog park is a 501 (c)(3), made possible by a board and volunteers, so we are so grateful for all the people who make the park run smoothly!

It’s the season of gratitude, so we want to say a special thank you to all the regular park goers, visitors, and volunteers! And a BIG thank you to the volunteers who deep cleaned the park; let’s keep it clean!

Found dog! This guy was found along park road between piney branch and beach drive in rock creek park around 2:45pm this Sunday afternoon, November 17. He was wearing a black harness but does not have a microchip or a collar. He’s safe and sound being held at the Humane Rescue Alliance on New York Ave in NE, under the temporary name of Milton! Please share with your networks if you know whose dog this might be so we can find his home!

The Newark Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Party of the season was a success this past Saturday! 🐶👻🎃🐾🦴

Shed(s) and old junk removal day—what a workout! We even found a drawing that an old park pal drew for one of our Howl-o-ween parties. 🥹 The new shed should be here soon! Thanks again to everyone who donated. ❤️

ADOPTION ALERT! Mango fka Momma Longlegs is available! She has been a regular at our park for a few weeks and we LOVE her! Good with dogs, cats, & people. Leash reactive but just wants to say hi to everyone! Great off leash, perfectly housebroken, good in car & for baths. Available through Humane Rescue Alliance or by emailing her foster mom at [email protected]

NEW TIME!!!

Hey Park Pals! We are having our first ever happy hour on June 27 from 6:30-8:30. We’ll bring light snacks and some booze free beverages. You bring your pup and whatever type of drink you enjoy 😉. This is mostly a way for us to meet and mingle but we also need to raise some funds for a new shed and some summer shade. We hope to see you!
