ADOPTION ALERT! Mango fka Momma Longlegs is available! She has been a regular at our park for a few weeks and we LOVE her! Good with dogs, cats, & people. Leash reactive but just wants to say hi to everyone! Great off leash, perfectly housebroken, good in car & for baths. NEW TIME!!!

Hey Park Pals! We are having our first ever happy hour on June 27 from 6:30-8:30. We’ll bring light snacks and some booze free beverages. You bring your pup and whatever type of drink you enjoy 😉. This is mostly a way for us to meet and mingle but we also need to raise some funds for a new shed and some summer shade. We hope to see you!

The resurfacing is under way! Thank you to everyone who helped to make this happen. Newark’s community never fails to come together for the good of our favorite furry friends.

You’re invited to a Howl-o-ween Yappy Hour and Adoption Event this Saturday at Silver!

Food, drinks, pups and good times — Small Door Veterinary is throwing a yappy hour for our community. Pop by from 4-6pm on Saturday (four-legged friends encouraged!) to have a free drink of choice, snacks and other goodies and treats to take home. Plus, any pet in costume will be entered to win a howl-o-ween costume contest prize.

Looking to adopt? Homeward Trails will be bringing adoptable dogs to meet and greet. Get to know the team at Small Door and enjoy Yappy Hour at Silver with your pet.

Hello friends! WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are aware of the flooding in our park and have been putting in service requests with the city since last year when the leak was relatively minor. Unfortunately, all requests have been ignored. We have also been working with our ANC rep but he has also not had any luck. Can everyone please call 311 and also put in a maintenance request with the city, please? Also tag them in posts on Facebook if you’re able. Maybe if more folks reach out we will get some assistance. The city does not support our park financially (or logistically) and it’s about $15,000/year for upkeep. We are desperate for donations and every cent counts! There’s much to maintain and improve in the new year and we hope you can help us out.

Our non-profit, Newark Street Park K-9 Friends (EIN: 32-0255844), will be accepting cash, checks, credit cards, or PayPal on the day of the event.
