Newark Street Dog Park was designed for the enjoyment of dogs and people alike. Street parking is available. Help us minimize costs and maximize park enjoyment.

Newark Street Park K-9 Friends works in partnership with DC Department of Parks and Recreation to maintain Newark Street Dog Park as a clean, safe, and enjoyable place for dogs to play and people to visit. The Dog Park is located in the sunny southwest corner of the Newark Street Park complex, beyond the children’s playground. The Dog Park is accessible via the stairs from 39th Street, and via the

ADA-compliant gravel path from Newark Street. Please respect the park rules and clean up after your dog while at the Newark Street Dog Park. Newark Street Dog Park includes the following amenities:
• 2 Separate play areas for big and little dogs
• Eco-friendly crushed decomposed granite surface
• 4 Benches including 2 under a shaded pergola
• Refreshing water fountains
• 3 Waste disposal stations with p**p scoop bags
• All the tennis balls you can fetch!

ADOPTION ALERT! Mango fka Momma Longlegs is available! She has been a regular at our park for a few weeks and we LOVE her! Good with dogs, cats, & people. Leash reactive but just wants to say hi to everyone! Great off leash, perfectly housebroken, good in car & for baths. NEW TIME!!!

Hey Park Pals! We are having our first ever happy hour on June 27 from 6:30-8:30. We’ll bring light snacks and some booze free beverages. You bring your pup and whatever type of drink you enjoy 😉. This is mostly a way for us to meet and mingle but we also need to raise some funds for a new shed and some summer shade. We hope to see you!

You’re invited to a Howl-o-ween Yappy Hour and Adoption Event this Saturday at Silver!

Food, drinks, pups and good times — Small Door Veterinary is throwing a yappy hour for our community. Pop by from 4-6pm on Saturday (four-legged friends encouraged!) to have a free drink of choice, snacks and other goodies and treats to take home. Plus, any pet in costume will be entered to win a howl-o-ween costume contest prize.

Looking to adopt? Homeward Trails will be bringing adoptable dogs to meet and greet. Get to know the team at Small Door and enjoy Yappy Hour at Silver with your pet.

Hello friends! WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are aware of the flooding in our park and have been putting in service requests with the city since last year when the leak was relatively minor. Unfortunately, all requests have been ignored. We have also been working with our ANC rep but he has also not had any luck. Can everyone please call 311 and also put in a maintenance request with the city, please? Also tag them in posts on Facebook if you’re able. Maybe if more folks reach out we will get some assistance.
