Spooky season is here, and our cats are READY FOR IT 🎃👻 Join us for cat yoga for a 70 minute yoga class, led by our wonderful instructor, with ~25 adoptable cats running around! Then, join us for our Halloween costume party! Not only will our cats be in costume, but there will also be a costume contest (for the humans) and prizes for the winner! Enjoy free snacks and goodies as well!

All proceeds go back to helping our mission of finding homes for homeless cats in the DMV and LA areas and reducing euthanasia rates!

Meet Fava Bean, a survivor with a heart of gold! 💗 This sweet girl's journey started in a challenging hoarding situation, where she was one of over 120 cats rescued in West Virginia. Alongside her pals Navy Bean and Kidney Bean, who were adopted this past summer, 3 year old Fava Bean has overcome much adversity.

Fava Bean may be a bit shy at times, but when she emerges from her cozy cat tree spot, she's the biggest ham and absolutely adores getting pets and flopping over for more.😻 What makes her extra special is that she's FIV+, which just means her immune system is a bit more delicate compared to FIV- cats. However, the good news is that she can live happily with other friendly cats without transmitting the virus.

The most heartwarming update is that Fava Bean has found her forever home! 🏡💗 She's been adopted and is all set to go to her new family this week. 🥳 Her journey serves as a reminder that every cat, regardless of their FIV status, deserves love and care. Let's celebrate her new beginning and spread awareness about FIV+ cats! 🐾

We have very exciting adoption news this week, as our longest DC resident, Patty, finally found his forever home! 😸

When Patty first came in, we didn't know if the cafe was the right fit and thought he might have to go to foster. Patty always had a ton of energy, but he was so big (15 pounds!) and didn't know his own strength, so none of the other cats wanted to play with him. We kept trying though, and over a long time found the real Patty, and he is one of the sweetest cats. 💗

Patty can open doors, and after a few months of being loved on he started slipping into the back to snuggle when staff went on break. That's how he stole the heart of one of our employees, who became his adopter! We're so excited for Patty, and can't wait to see all of the pictures in his forever home!

Double the love- introducing our DC & LA cats of the week Capitano and Pishi! 😸💗🐈‍⬛

Capitano is our DC star. She is super vocal and is always yelling at us for attention. She never misses a chance to fly through the air after the mouse toys. Only a year and a half old, she's already spent nearly four months at our DC cafe and could really use a buddy in her forever home! 🐾

Over in LA, Mama Pishi is ready for her person. She gave birth on the porch of a house in Bakersfield and her foster took her and her 2 week old kittens in. She's our 3 year old love bug and deserves a friendly home where she can be spoiled. She is totally fine with kids, dogs, and other cats! 💗✨

A young girl asked Kitten Rescue for help, so Pishi's foster mentored her on how to foster cats! Now, 5 month old Jack and Georgia have found themselves at Crumbs & Whiskers!

The bonded siblings cuddle and sleep next to each other all the time. Jack is a needy baker - he spends his time making biscuits and crying for attention, and Georgia loves to play and is very affectionate. They both like to be held and would be the best companions for anyone! 😻

Rescued from Tijuana, we don't know much about 3-year-old Wolfie's life before he came to our LA cafe, but we do know he was living on the streets with his brother, James Bond. Both have been awaiting a forever home since coming in March! 💗

Wolfie enjoys the sparkly string toys and lots of cuddles, but hasn't been feeling himself lately. He likely needs a full mouth extraction since his teeth have rotten and his saliva began to turn dark brown. It's very difficult for him to digest wet food, and he can no longer eat any dry food at all. He will likely have to go under anesthesia.

We're having a fundraiser all month long online, and in-store at our LA cafe location to help raise the money needed for his dental surgery. Come in to meet him and consider helping our sweet guy out! 100% of profits donated go directly to Wolfie’s surgery and care. Links to donate or book below:

Meet Navy & Kidney Bean, two sweet boys who came to us from a hoarding situation where over 100 cats were rescued from one home. Kidney Bean is the more outgoing of the two, and immediately adjusted to life at the cafe. He loves to stand up on his back legs to ask for pets & give head butts.

Navy Bean was shy his first few days but is now a superstar! He loves finding a new favorite human, and sitting in their lap for the entire time that they're here. These boys are both FIV+, which means their immune system is a little bit weaker than one of an FIV - cat, but are capable of living with others cats without transmission and living a long, happy, healthy life! These are the sweetest 3 year old boys who need to find a home together! 💗

Azorath is our handsome, 1 year 8 month old boy! He came to our cafe on January 14th and has been such a sweetheart!

When he’s not sneaking in some selfies, he spends a lot of his time snoozing his day away in a cat tree or on the shoe rack. Once he wakes up, he loves playing with the sparkler toys, and may even walk up to you to get some needed affection!

Our DC rescue partner, works closely with an animal rescue organization based in Thailand, 🐾 After being rescued from the streets & nurtured back to health they transported cats to America, and 8 of them are now at our cafe looking for their forever homes!
