Most people love the bright colors and loud booms of the Fourth of July! Some animals tolerate the noise well, but most DO NOT. Please, listen your your cat or dog, they will tell you when they're frightened. Give them a safe place to hunker down till the festivities have subsided. Leave your pets at home during fireworks displays and find a less stressful way to celebrate with them.

It's happening! We can't stop it, CATS are taking over the world! With their cute and demanding ways. Who is really in charge? Ask yourself. You feed them, pet them, give them treats, clean up after them, let them walk all over you (literally), let them do whatever they want. When they are asleep on your lap, you don't dare disturb them..they are royalty after all.

But that's why we adore them so much. Celebrate this day with your king or queen with a few more treats and a little extra love ❤️

It's no secret, dogs love people food, and who could blame them? While it is ok to occasionally allow then a treat from the table, remember, everything in moderation.
Do your research, some foods healthy for humans...are not so good for our furry friends.

Fruits like apples, strawberries, bananas and blueberries, offer certain health benefits, also, pumpkin, potatoes, broccoli and peas to name a few...however, Grapes and raisins are toxic, as well as chocolate, garlic and onions.

Be sure to check with your vet when adding a new treat to your dogs diet.

Give your pet a little extra love this week, go for a longer walk, find them a new toy, play with them a bit longer and definately cuddle with them as much as possible. 🩷

As the weather warms up, so does the pavement! Keep this in mind when taking your pet for a walk. Hot asphalt can seriously injure your dogs sensitive pads. Be sure you can stand to hold the back of your hand on the pavement for at least 5 to 10 seconds. If you can't, it's too hot for your pooch!

Opt for a nice cool evening walk instead, or find a grassy area that is soft and cool, underfoot.

It doesn't matter to us if they bark or meow. It makes no difference to us if they are playful or love to take naps. We couldn't care less, if they are purebred or a mutt. Whether they're big or small, ..... WE LOVE THEM ALL!! (It's kind of our thing!)

Be sure to stay current with regular check-ups and vaccines, keep your pets healthy, no matter what.

Kings (and Queens) still need regular check-ups, afterall, they do have a kingdom to rule, just like our royal furbabies! Be sure to stay on top of routine exams, vaccines and wellness checks so they can rule another day!

Be careful falling for the puppy dog eyes, that's a sure fire way to lose your meal! While most dog lovers tend to share a few scraps now and then, be wary of what people food can do to your pet.

We all know chocolate is a big no no.... but did you know that grapes, raisins and onions are toxic to dogs? If you must feed scraps, and who could say "no" to that face?, stick with cooked unsalted veggies (no butter, onions or garlic), peanut butter, cooked lean meats and eggs.

Fatty people foods can wreak havoc on a dog's digestive system and some may even develop food allergies!

If you suspect your dog or cat has eaten something toxic, call your vet ASAP!
