Join us for a fall pack walk to explore the National Arboretum and meet some park pals! We’ll meet at the parking lot closest to the National Grove of State Trees Picnic Area.

After getting some steps in, we’ll head over to Atlas Brew Works Ivy City to say a farewell cheers to a beloved dog-friendly business - don’t worry, they are just moving to a bigger space in the Bridge District.

Dogs must remain leashed at all times. All are welcome to join, so feel free to bring a friend or make a new one!

THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! Our park renovation project will begin on Tuesday, September 16th and last through December (date tbd). While we are disappointed to not see our park pals every day / week at the park, we will be hosting place walks and other fun activities while we wait for our brand new park! In advance of our upcoming park renovation project, Kingsman Bark has created a list of dog friendly places that you can take your pup (link can be found in our bio). These include other dog parks, hikes, wineries & breweries, restaurant, etc. in the neighborhood and surrounding DMV area! We will also be planning pack walks and other activities while the park is closed - stay tuned for more details soon.

We know everyone is anxiously awaiting the start of the project. The city and its contractor have entered into the permitting phase and, depending on how long that takes, they are currently expecting construction to start this month and continue through December 2025. In addition to the dog park being closed, a majority of the field will be closed during construction.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we get any further updates from the city!

With the delay in our park project until summer, we need your help with our first spring cleaning on Saturday, 5/3 at 10am. With several helping hands and paws, it should be a breeze! Cherry blossom season is here! Come join your park pals to celebrate DC’s favorite time of year at yappy hour. As a way to support local organizations in the community, we will be collecting items to bring to the HRA. Please check out their website for items they accept and bring any items you wish to donate to the park and we will make a large drop off on the park’s behalf!

As always, yappy hours are a time for dogs and humans to have some fun but please remember to pay attention to your dog as it can get rowdy and we want the park to be a safe and clean place for all pups to play.

Don’t Miss March Madness - Complete a Bracket and Support the Park! Kingsman Bark is hosting our third annual March Madness Pool - submit your bracket by March 20th!

Last year Pat Broom reigned victorious and we raised $160 for the park, so now’s your chance to win it all while helping your park pals try and beat last years fundraising amount! The rules are simple: The pool entry fee will be $10 - of which $5 will go towards the prize for the winner and $5 will go towards a donation to Kingsman Bark for ongoing park clean up.

Please send your money via Venmo () or Paypal ([email protected]). Winner takes all - once the games begin, we’ll update the Message Board with the total jackpot amount.

The rules, outlined in the pool settings, will reward calling upsets with the seed multiplier.

Girl Scout Troop 44059 will hold a bake sale to benefit Kingsman Bark! This event is part of their Take Action project to help support outdoor spaces for people and animals in the community. They will be giving away free dog toys and treats and accepting donations for human treats.

These amazing girls will be hosting two events: Friday, March 7th and Friday, March 14th at 5:30pm. Bring your pup and support this great cause!
