Cherry blossom season is here! Come join your park pals to celebrate DC’s favorite time of year at yappy hour. As a way to support local organizations in the community, we will be collecting items to bring to the HRA. Please check out their website for items they accept and bring any items you wish to donate to the park and we will make a large drop off on the park’s behalf!

As always, yappy hours are a time for dogs and humans to have some fun but please remember to pay attention to your dog as it can get rowdy and we want the park to be a safe and clean place for all pups to play.

Don’t Miss March Madness - Complete a Bracket and Support the Park! Kingsman Bark is hosting our third annual March Madness Pool - submit your bracket by March 20th!

Last year Pat Broom reigned victorious and we raised $160 for the park, so now’s your chance to win it all while helping your park pals try and beat last years fundraising amount! The rules are simple: The pool entry fee will be $10 - of which $5 will go towards the prize for the winner and $5 will go towards a donation to Kingsman Bark for ongoing park clean up.

Please send your money via Venmo () or Paypal ([email protected]). Winner takes all - once the games begin, we’ll update the Message Board with the total jackpot amount.

The rules, outlined in the pool settings, will reward calling upsets with the seed multiplier.

Girl Scout Troop 44059 will hold a bake sale to benefit Kingsman Bark! This event is part of their Take Action project to help support outdoor spaces for people and animals in the community. They will be giving away free dog toys and treats and accepting donations for human treats.

These amazing girls will be hosting two events: Friday, March 7th and Friday, March 14th at 5:30pm. Bring your pup and support this great cause!

For Giving Tuesday, we want to harness and celebrate the generosity of our neighbors by investing back in our local community. Join us to be part of a global day of giving with a local twist. If you are looking to make a difference this holiday season here are three great ways to give back to your community.

1- Support Kingsman Dog Park: Your support of Kingsman Bark helps us maintain and improve the dog park to ensure a safe space for your pups to play. We use donated funds to purchase supplies for clean ups, p**p bags, and plan events to build community among park pals. Once the dog park renovation project is complete, donated funds will help us meet the city’s requirements for our community to maintain the dog park and fund any replenishment of the ground cover or other amenities. Donate via PayPal ([email protected]), Venmo (), purchase items for the park from our Amazon Wish List (link in profile), or buy a ticket to our Paws & Pints holiday party on December 8th (link in profile).

2- Get Your Kingsman Bark merch: As it starts to get chilly outside, keep warm and show your support of the dog park with a custom Kingsman Bark Fleece Lined Cuff Beanie for $25, with $5 from your purchase supporting the dog park. Shipping is free if you include it in our group order for pick up at the dog park. Order before December 16 to receive your beanie in early January. Buy now!

3- Support a local rescue of your choice: Most rescue organizations are taking monetary donations and have wishlists where you can buy and ship supplies directly to them. Some will also accept donated items such as unopened food and treats or used towels and blankets.

Our fundraiser at Hill East Burger was so successful (and delicious!), that we’ve now teamed up with Della Barba Pizza for the next one. Join us to support a local business while raising funds for the dog park. DB will donate 20% from dine-in or takeout orders on Nov. 13 to our dog park improvement efforts! You can order pizza, salads, and other delicious Italian food for lunch or dinner, or both! Make sure to mention Kingsman Bark when you place your order. As we kick off November and get closer to Thanksgiving, let’s start the season off right - with THANKS! Thank you to all of our park pals who have donated, cleaned up, attended events, planned events, or just overall supported our park across the past year. In addition to bringing your dog to Yappy Hour this Friday, we will also be collecting non-perishables for the local blessing boxes in the neighborhood. We will have a box for you to add your donations - thank you in advance!
