Join us at our favorite dog friendly brewery, , on Friday August 30th 5-7pm for a summer yappy hour! We have space reserved inside if it’s hot and will have Kingsman Bark koozies/hand sanitizers and pup cups available to purchase to raise money for the park improvement project! As if that wasn’t enough reason to join us, will be set up outside dishing out food that evening as well!
Many thanks to our Bark Board, small but mighty clean up crew, and several park pals who spent the morning lending a hand to clean up the dog park. Together, we got rid of the morning glory and fox tail weeds (which are not very dog friendly), wiped down all the benches, cleaned the dog bowls, raked the gravel and wood chips, and sanitized the surface so the park is ready for more play. We are required to report volunteer hours to the city each quarter, so every bit of help from park pals shows our commitment to maintaining the city's investments in our park.
KB does clean ups monthly on the second Saturday (schedule posted in the park) at 10 am. If you're not available to volunteer, please consider a donation to help pay for clean up supplies and p**p bags for the dispensers. Learn more at the link below
Kingsman Bark recently reorganized as a new nonprofit and received its determination letter from the IRS. This means we are now tax-exempt and all donations since our incorporation in July 2022 are tax-deductible! As an all volunteer-run organization comprised of neighbors who frequent the dog park,...
It’s time for our monthly clean up! We will do a little weeding, raking, and pruning - and every hand (or paw) helps!
If you can’t join us or give your time, donations are welcome. We are even selling merch (koozies, dog bandanas, hand sanitizer holders, etc.) with our Kingsman Bark logo on it to help raise money to keep cleaning supplies stocked and the park safe for all dogs. Have you seen the new bulletin board? Reminders about yappy hour, clean ups, our monthly event calendar, and even how to buy merch (koozies, dog bandanas, etc.) to support keeping the dog park the best it can be! We’ve got room for other information to be posted too. And if you need us to help spread the word on anything (lost dogs, new dog walking services, etc.), let us know how we can help!
REMINDER: Kingsman Bark is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization of neighbors working to improve the Kingsman Field Dog Park. The city is not responsible for keeping the park clean - we are. All proceeds from your purchases will go towards park beautification as well as support our upcoming improvement project!

It’s time for our next clean up on Saturday, July 13th at 10 a.m. It’ll probably be hot, but if you can give a little bit of time - we can make it fast! Remember, it’s the community’s responsibility to keep the park clean for our pups! We will be doing some gravel shoveling, weeding, bench cleaning, and p**p clean up. Join Kingsman Bark for the next community meeting about the status of the park improvement project. Please join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) for a community meeting and discussion regarding the future renovation of Kingsman Park.
Kingsman Bark park pals are encouraged to meet up at the dog park (but leave your pups at home) at 6 p.m. and we will walk over to Rosedale Rec Center together.

The votes have been tallied and we’re exploring KINGMAN ISLAND on our next pack walk! Please join your park pals on Sunday, March 17 at 11 a.m. to explore, sniff around, and roll around in the grass. We come to you this weekend with another edition of Meet your Board! Meet, Danielle and Otis. Danielle is one of our co-founders who helped form Kingsman Bark with the vision to restore our park to its original shape while making it the safe and reliable space our community needs. When not at the dog park, you might find her and Otis and Otis’ favorite coffee shops - Wine & Butter or Jacob’s - or Atlas Brewery where they have a great outdoor patio and are dog friendly indoors for those upcoming cold winter days.

You can find Dary at her side and experiencing every new event, when he’s not sleeping and growing 🙃 She joined our board to grow communication engagement so every person and dog feels welcome - we reap the benefits of her and Dary’s efforts every time we visit the park and are so lucky to have them!
