🐾 Small Incision, Big Benefits!
Here’s a peek at a laparoscopic spay incision — tiny, precise, and minimally invasive. Unlike traditional spay surgeries, which require a larger incision, laparoscopic spays help pets recover faster, experience less discomfort, and reduce the risk of complications.

If you’re curious about how minimally invasive spays can benefit your furry family members, give us a call at 586-752-6217. 📞

When a mother is unable to deliver naturally, every minute matters. Emergency C-sections are often needed when:

• Labor isn’t progressing
• Puppies or kittens are in distress
• A fetus is stuck in the birth canal
• The mother is exhausted or declining
• There’s a risk to mom, babies, or both

Delaying care can mean loss of oxygen, increased stress on the mother, or life-threatening complications.

That’s why these some of these cases come through emergency—to give mom and babies the best possible chance. 🐶🐱💙

✨️This behind-the-scenes look highlights the teamwork, urgency, and compassion involved in moments like these. Featuring Dr. Gryspeerd and team.✨️

When you arrive at our hospital with a sick or injured pet, our top priority is always providing the best possible care—especially when time matters most. To ensure pets receive care based on medical need, we follow a process called triage.

Triage typically takes place upon arrival and allows us to assess the urgency of a pet’s condition. This helps our medical team prioritize pets who need immediate, life-saving care.

We generally categorize patients into three priority levels:

🔴 Priority 1 – Critical
Life-threatening emergencies that require immediate attention, such as difficulty breathing, active seizures, or major trauma. These patients are brought directly to treatment.

🟡 Priority 2 – Urgent
Serious conditions that require prompt care but are currently stable, including severe vomiting, or closed fractures.

🟢 Priority 3 – Stable
Non-life-threatening concerns such as ear infections, mild limping, or skin issues. While these conditions are uncomfortable, they are not immediately dangerous.

We understand how stressful it can be to wait when your pet isn’t feeling well. Please know that every patient matters to us, and our team is working diligently to ensure pets with the most critical needs receive care as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and trust as we care for your pets.
