Friends and followers, we are trying to help find loving homes for two high-energy pups. Here’s their story:
Clementine and Dixie are litter mates believed to be GSD/Husky/Corgi mixes—the result of a breeding between a neglected brother and sister who are now adopted out and spayed/neutered. Dixie and Clementine were found in an outside building last August with no air conditioning, no food and no water, and were rescued in the nick of time. Clementine was nursed back to health and a loving community member took in both pups. Clementine and Dixie have shown no aggression when it comes to other dogs. Their person shares that these active gals are approximately 7 months old and are good with small dogs and children. The only warning is that Clementine “screams” loudly when she is ready to go outside to use the bathroom. Their current person says that both dogs have been given a clean bill of health, despite their inbreeding. Their carer would love to find wonderful adoptive homes for both Clementine and Dixie—they don’t need to be adopted out together. The reason for rehoming is to find the most suitable loving homes where these active gals can thrive.
Clementine (the shepherdy-looking sister) is approximately 54 pounds and Dixie is approximately 45 pounds. Both are house broken and kennel trained. Both are beep collar trained. Their person shared that both gals are great with kids and other dogs; cats are an unknown but they appear afraid of the neighbor’s cats. Both pups are up-to-date on vaccines and are spayed.
Clementine is scheduled to go to a new foster near Washington NC before the end of the month, and Dixie will remain in Thomasville NC for now, though we’d love to find a good foster for her. We can help with transport.
Please reach out if interested in fostering Dixie or adopting Clementine and/or Dixie and we can put you in touch with their current person.
