Betty White has certainly “traveled down the road and back again. She is a 2.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who was found as a stray on St. Thomas. Just like her name sake, she is a sweet girl and she quickly won the hearts of the staff at the humane society. Betty is partially blind and deaf but trust me that does not stop her. She navigates well around her foster moms house, is able to go up and down the steps with ease and she loves to explore the back yard. You will never be lonely with Betty White in the house because she will always be by your side giving kisses. Because of her deficits she is reactive to animals around her so a without other pets is a must a house. She seeks out plush toys to play with and they will keep her entertained for hours. Betty is allergic to cats.Betty is house trained, she is crate trained and walks well on a leash. Interesting in the sweet girl? Twilight is s 3 year old neutered male DSH with a personality up match his adorable face! Twilight, like the majority of our foster cats, was brought into our program as a stray that no one claimed.

Aria (10/10/17) is.a coconut retriever from St Thomas who lived in the shelter there fur over a year until Pet Search arranged to have her rescued and transported to Pet Search. This sweet 45 pound terrier mix is very had back and enjoys running in the yard, going for rides, and relaxing with her foster family. Aria is dog and cat friendly (with proper introductions) and will still pull when leash walking (because she gets so excited). She is housebroken as well as crate trained; spayed, vaccinated, 4 DX tested and microchipped. Area has had the luxury of being able to run in the confines of a fenced yard, but w with a little more leash work, she will be excellent on walks with her person. She does excellent at adoption meet and greet events but gets overlooked because of her quiet demeanor.

She's an amazing cat, but she's no longer a baby kitten and she's black, so she's not as "wanted". She deserves a great furever home just like her siblings. Her sister Toni and her can even be adopted together!

Honeybun (9/21/23) is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! “Bunny” recently arrived on transport from St Croix USVI to Pet Search. This 38 pound “coconut retriever” is sweet, affectionate and full of energy! Bunny is one of hundreds of dogs that are abandoned at the dump in Frederickstad and rescued by Ruff Start St Croix.
Bunny is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is good with
dogs and children and lived with cats in St Croix.
In research, we are finding that Bunny is a Carolina dog mix and he certainly fits the description with his energy, sweetness and temperament.

Merry “Fix-mas” to these 6 kitties from our Rostraver colony….
By the end of the day, they will be “Jingle
ball-less” and head out to farms next week.

Rosie, the gorgeous long hair, will be available for adoption soon through Pet Search.

Update-they ALL are females and surprisingly no pregnancies!

Look at these ears and that smile❤️Boris is a handsome Basinji mix (born 03-16-24) who was rescued by Ruff Start St. Croix and brought into the PetSearch program. Boris is energetic and playful but also likes to snuggle. He would do best with an active family and would benefit from a fenced yard. Boris is neutered, fully vaccinated and is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats. He weighs around 26 pounds.
Boris is one of hundreds of dogs that are abandoned at the dump in Frederickstad and rescued by Ruff Start St Croix.

A dog was found abandoned in a porta-potty in California Borough.

This puppy was found on Christmas Day abandoned in a porta potty at Rotery Park in California Boro.
Pet Search was “tagged” on the Facebook post on Christmas Day and this sweet little boy was brought to Pet Search by Animal Control Services/Kym Secreet.
He is an 8-10 week old shepherd/lab mix and we have named him Kringle. He is safe with Pet Search and we will find him the perfect home!
Kent and Sherry, our Co-CEO’s were interviewed by KDKA later in the day regarding the rescue and future outcomes for this little boy.

We continue to do this because “his life mattered”❤️🐾

He has grown into a very handsome, extremely loving, happy and healthy guy.
