On and in continuation of National Immunization Awareness Month, we’d like to remind animal owners to protect against mosquito-borne illnesses, such as heartworm disease, West Nile Virus, and others, by keeping their animals up to date on vaccinations and using preventative medications.

It's . Is your pet registered? Access the Microchip Lookup Tool here: ow.ly/XYiM50KhC5G

A microchip is twice as likely to reunite pet owners with their canines and 20 times more likely to reunite pet owners with their felines if they are found! (American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)

🔎 Check the Chip Day is here! 🔎
As veterinary professionals, you know that microchips can significantly increase the chances of being reunited with a lost pet. But a microchip is only effective if the registration info is UTD!

Help us recognize by making sure to remind your clients to update their microchip information, or taking a little bit of extra time to educate on the importance of microchipping. 🐶🐱

Our microchip lookup tool can assist in finding registration companies: https://hubs.li/Q02Lq6pB0

🐾❤️ Maggie's Journey: A Story of Hope and Healing ❤️🐾

Meet Maggie, a very special senior mixed-breed dog adopted from PCAPS last year. This May, Maggie developed an illness that started with just a little limp and rapidly progressed to extreme pain, being unable to walk or eat over two days, kidney disease, and a bleeding disorder. Maggie had contracted LYME disease.

Happily, with aggressive treatment, Maggie made it through the worst days and survived. While her kidneys sustained damage that will likely require life-long medications and a special diet, she is doing so much better!

Thankfully, not all cases of tick-borne illnesses are this severe. As Benjamin Franklin wisely said, "an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure."

Maggie’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of preventive care. Ensure your pets are vaccinated and protected. 🐶💉

Take Action Now! Schedule an appointment with us to vaccinate your pet and refill their preventative medication to shield them from LYME Disease and other preventable illnesses.
