Van is a one-year-old Shar Pei mix who is looking for a loving and patient home. While he may take some time to warm up and trust new people, once that bond is formed, Van is incredibly loyal and will never leave your side.

Van is best suited for an experienced dog owner who can dedicate time to building trust and meeting his unique needs. He does not get along well with other male dogs, so he would thrive in a home where he can be the only pet.

Meet Brittany, aka Momma!

This sweet girl is looking for her forever home! Momma is a 2-3 year old Shar Pei mix who has made incredible strides in her journey. Not only has she improved herself, but she’s also been a gentle guide for other dogs at the shelter, helping them become more comfortable around humans.

Momma is friendly with both male and female dogs, and her loving nature is starting to shine through more and more every day. She’s developed a wonderful personality and is ready to bring joy to the home lucky enough to adopt her.

"Darla" is available for adoption at the Washington City Animal Shelter, Darla was located wandering the streets and brought to the shelter a few weeks ago, nobody has come to claim her, and she was not chipped. Officer's received multiple calls this morning regarding a large group of dogs near the trail behind the animal shelter, we have been able to contain seven of what we believe to be nine "Shar Pei" dogs. Writing this in hopes that we can contact owners, and this did not intentionally occur. If you or anyone you know are missing a group of "Shar Pei" dogs please contact the Washington City Animal Shelter ASAP.

“Copper” is a 3 month old male Hound. He is a very sweet puppy and loves to play. He is available for adoption at the Washington City Animal Shelter.

"TAKODA" was adopted!! This gentle giant has been in and out of the shelter since March. We are so happy he could now find his forever home. His new owner gave us the update that he is getting along great with his new siblings 2 dogs, a cat, and kids. Thank you to our volunteers who are essential to helping promote all of our adoptable dogs to the public.
