We’re closing for another day and Sybill hasn’t been chosen just yet. She came in with 20 other kitties and she was one of the shyest. She has come a long way and we know that when she gets her chance to go home, she will blossom too! Goodnight, Sybill!

Indie is a sweet and sassy young girl who is always up for playing and exploring! She can often be found at the tippy top of the cat tower and is for sure a staff favorite. We would love to see this pretty girl find a home before Thanksgiving!

BP and Edmund are best buddies who can usually be found right by each other’s sides. Edmund is a few months old and he looks up to BP! Both of these boys love people. They are snuggly 🥰

Now through the end of November, if you adopt one kitty, you can bring home a friend for them with no additional adoption fee! That’s two fixed, vaccinated and microchipped kitties like BP and Edmund for one $105 adoption fee!

Cypress has had a few different people apply for her, meet her and decide not to take her home. You see, she’s not very outgoing and we have lots of kitties that are! It’s easy to have your heart stolen by a sweet and snuggly lovebug that comes and crawls into your lap 🥰

We think when someone finally does choose this little beauty, that she will open up once she goes home. She may always be picky about her people, but once she has a family of her own, we think she will be affectionate and loyal.

You’re welcome to visit our new open-concept cat adoption floor Tuesday through Sunday between noon and 4PM. Our cats and kittens would love to meet you! And if you’re so inclined please take a moment to look in the hidey spots for the shy ones like Cypress. She has lots of love to give too! 🩷

Tatum is seven months old and is the epitome of an adorable little guy! He loves to be held and snuggled. You can hold him on your lap or like a baby. He’s such a sweet companion and would make a great best friend for a child or adult who likes to cuddle all the time. He’s also content to lay in cozy spots and watch all of the happenings around him. We hope somebody falls in love with him soon because it would make us so happy to know he was in a home on Thanksgiving! Fidget was in a good mood all day. There were no reports of him slapping anyone! He does get overstimulated here at times, but Fidget is an affectionate boy who is declawed and looking for someone to love him!

UPDATE: Owner identified. Washington, IA: These two were just found eating a carcass on Highway 1 near Dutch Market. The smaller one has a thin red collar, neither have ID or a microchip. Please message us if you know where they belong!

It can be a challenge to get a good picture of Rocky Road, because he just wants to be close to someone! When you bend down, he’s going to come over for a snuggle. That’s just Rocky Road math.

Rocky Road came in recently abandoned with a neglected skin condition. We’ve been giving him and his skin lots of TLC and the improvements have been huge and quick. We love knowing he’s already feeling so much more comfortable. From Day One, he’s been the sweetest big baby!

Slate (left) got to spend his last week before adoption in a foster home! His house skills are tuned up and tonight he’ll spend his first night in his adoptive home! Happy tails! 💙🐾

Last Christmas, they took their beautiful Cleo to visit Santa Claus, not knowing it would be their only Christmas with her. Cleo became sick and passed away weeks later. The life that Cleo had with Lois and Bill was a life that any dog would wish for. We’re so grateful that they chose her.

Today Missy gets to begin that life. Missy will be spoiled, adored and loved beyond belief. Those of us with a deep love of our shelter pets know that one dog can never take the place of another in our hearts. Adopting again, we know, honors one life by saving another. And the love of a new pet finds its own special place that lights up our life in a whole new way.

Lady gets to start her next chapter today! This girl was loved and then she lost her owner. But she never lost that beautiful smile. Today it was bigger than ever and her new mom has a big smile to match. Happy tails, Lady!

She slept in one of the kids’ rooms last night and we’re sure it’s the best Wednesday has slept in a long time.
