We are a tax deductible charity. Paws and Love began because of the need to provide a safe permanent home to a group of community cats in NC. We take in at risk cats and have them spayed/neutered, combo tested for FIV and FeLV, and vaccinated. They are then released into a safe environment where they are provided with quality food, medical care, shelter, and lots of love. Others have had limited or no human contact and they prefer to live a "feral" life, which is perfectly fine with us. Regardless of their background, all cats are given the love and attention they desire and deserve.

The numbers are in!

The Paws and Love team covered concessions at the Greenville Yard Gnomes baseball game on July 23. Thanks to everyone who attended the game, we were able to raise $500 towards our mission to provide long-term care to cats within our sanctuary and Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) of community cats.

Mona’s babies turned 6 weeks old yesterday !! They celebrated the day with a ride to see Dr Worthington for their first set of shots. They were seen last week and were a tiny bit underweight so we were all pleased to know they had put on a significant amount of weight and are now all in the “one pound kitten club”

A huge thank you to fosters Linda and Dexter for bringing them to and from the vet today.

Sorry for the poor pictures. I was too busy catching up and didn’t get many.

Stallion went to Welcome Waggin' Animal Hospital to see Dr Worthington today for his one week follow up.
Last week a chemistry panel was done to aid in diagnosing the FIP. His total protein was elevated more than last week but she said this sometimes happens when the body begins to absorb the fluid in the abdomen. The vet he saw last week didn’t do a cbc so we aren’t sure where he was prior to treatment but he does have inflammatory conditions/infections going on as indicated on his labs from today.
He was also very anemic at just 15% on his hematocrit. Doxycycline was added to his treatment plan and we hope to see some improvements with this. He goes back in next Tuesday for his weekly follow up.

Murderous Mandy with her meat cleaver !!

AAAHHH !!

Thank you to the person who has a great sense of humor who sent in this donation during primes days. Mandy loves this toy, as do the others, but she really played it up for the camera.

Mandy was one of the kittens we took in just a few days old whose mother was leuk positive. They are all negative and they will hopefully be traveling to the North soon to be adopted.
