We are a tax deductible charity. Paws and Love began because of the need to provide a safe permanent home to a group of community cats in NC. We take in at risk cats and have them spayed/neutered, combo tested for FIV and FeLV, and vaccinated. They are then released into a safe environment where they are provided with quality food, medical care, shelter, and lots of love. Others have had limited or no human contact and they prefer to live a "feral" life, which is perfectly fine with us. Regardless of their background, all cats are given the love and attention they desire and deserve.

✨ Tiny & Tiffany: A Happy Ending Made Possible by You! ✨

Tiny and Tiffany were found abandoned in the weeds off Bay Street in Belhaven — two tiny kittens struggling to survive with severely infected eyes. Thanks to your support, we were able to bottle-feed them, provide antibiotics, and give them the medical care they desperately needed.

When they were finally big and strong enough, both kittens were spayed and Tiny their damaged eye removed. Tiffany's healed beautifully, and they both bounced right back, and proved just how resilient little ones can be. 💛

Today, we’re thrilled to share this photo of them together in their forever home. They’ve been adopted by a wonderful woman whose elderly cats had recently passed, and she was overjoyed to welcome not just one, but two sweet companions into her life.

Because of you, Tiny and Tiffany got their second chance — and now they’re living the happy, love-filled life every kitten deserves. Thank you for making their story possible. 🐾💖

For anyone needing straw, the animal shelter in Washington, NC has some available!

Wheat straw is recommended for helping to keep outside animals warm.

It can also be purchased from plant nurseries, Lowes, Tractor Supply and other places.

Small shelters stuffed with some wheat straw will help when the colder weather is here to stay, but now is the time to prepare!
