On our way back home to the USA from Europe! We had a fantastic trip, and had the chance to see some great dogs and spend time with great friends overseas 🇮🇹

These kinds of connections, paired with the ability to actually see and work, multiple generations of dogs within a bloodline in which we will incorporate into our program in the USA (outcrossing), is what makes ALL the difference 🙌🏻🇺🇸 🧬

This knowledge and creation of great dogs does not just go one way ➡️, and that is the reason that our great stud dog Koen Leistungsblut von der Schwarz IGP1 (Ferro x Cyrill) will be spending some time over the summer in Europe for breeding! Big news to come…. ⭐️

This is the final retirement litter from our 8 year old female Schattenkrieger’s Cora. She is the mother to MANY great offspring here at Von Schwarz Doberman Kennel. Cora is a special female on and off the field, and one of the best mothers out there ❤️

We are honored to say that for the 3rd time this year alone, and 2nd consecutive month in a row, we have the most viewed litter plan in the World 🌎 It is exciting to know that many people internationally understand the specific work we do, and want offspring from our kennel 🙏🏻

I had the pleasure of owning and titling Cora from a puppy, along side Joeri Veth, as well as her “up and coming” special young daughter Vaga von der Schwarz (Cora x Koen), who you will all see very soon 😍🤩😍

I also had the pleasure of working closely with Altengarden’s Nightmare (Drago), in all 3 phases, socially, and environmentally, and he is 🔝!!! We are lucky to have him in the USA 🇺🇸

Offspring from this combination are going to France, the UK, Germany, Norway, Bermuda, and 1 special home in the USA Emma Bobbitt ❤️

We are also keeping a female for ourselves, of course! 🇺🇸

I know I am not sappy often, but this morning I woke up in a hotel at UDC Nationals and realized that THIS is what its all about… To explain the feeling as a breeder is hard. I birthed both of these dogs. I remember both like it was yesterday. With Ender, I sat in my whelping box on my birthday Feb 1 of 2016… he was the first and only red male born in a fairly large litter. For Kata, Leslie Harry was with me. Cyrill only had 3 puppies and I was DYING for a female. 2 males born first…. so poor Kata was quickly removed from the sac so I could see the gender.… when I realized she was a girl, I knew she would be with me for the rest of her life. Little did I know what these dogs would achieve; however thats not what matters. What matters is mornings like this. All 3 of the VSD’s competing in the IGP3 National this weekend are kids to my Ferro. My one in a million. I will never have another dog like him. He slept with me each and every night his entire life. His kids are always stamped with his qualities in the work, but this morning when I woke up, I felt his presence. I thought I was dreaming at first, and then looked down to see Ender and Kata on either side of me laying the same way he did. The same pressure, the same feeling that Ferro gave me everynight for almost 9 years…. and boy did I have to hold back tears. Its the feeling these dogs give us on good days, on hard days, on days where we dont know how to continue….hope and unconditional love each and everyday no matter what. Being in the dog world can be a lot to handle, some days I wonder why I do this…but these types of mornings re-charge my soul and my vision. Its not about us, its about them! We need to remember why we do this… ❤️
