Little story behind these two Dall sheep.
They belong to a good friend of the family, Roy Roth. He spent many hours in my father-in-law‘s archery shop over the years and good friend of Bow hunter Cameron Hanes. A few years ago he was Archery sheep hunting in the Chugiak Mountains here in Alaska and fell off a cliff. He passed away doing what he loved.
One day I saw a post in our group here by Alyssa, Roth Roy’s niece asking for pointers on cleaning up these skulls that had been sitting in Roy’s garage for about seven years or so with the meat still them. To make a long story short I contacted her and ended up with them. I spent a lot of time working at getting the horns off and getting them cleaned up. I wish I could’ve taken them a little further, but sometimes you just have to call it quits.
At least they can now be displayed in Roy’s Memory.

Our Story

Affordable European Mounts: Now offering Beetle cleaning (Dermestid beetles) for all animals. (moose, caribou and elk starting in august). I started doing European mounts for a friend that had a Taxidermy business about 7 years ago. He talked me into taking the Europeans over as my own. I’m just a small business but, will take on as much work as I can. I try to get my mounts out 3 months or sooner depending on the quantity of work I have at the time. All mounts are beetle cleaned, degreased, whitened and antlered animals come with a hanger. Plaques are available upon request for an additional fee. Fast friendly local service.
