This video has some of our Life Skills session - thank you to our little "helpers" for their distractions and greetings to help these pups prep for real life situations 🥰
Ganon is such a great guy who just needed a little help finding his "footing" in life 😊
He has continued to improve daily in our program and his self-confidence has come a very long way!
Red has come a very long way for such a young guy! He has made great strides in his engagement work, and while his impulse control is still tough to conquer, he keeps on trying! 🥰
Great work Red!
We had to work very hard to earn this boys trust!
Hatchi made it very clear at the beginning, our touch caused him stress and caused him to become reactive. At first, he allowed slow movement and affection to chin and chest, with us gradually earning trust to not only touch his whole body, but he actually started to enjoy sharing affection with us!
When this video was shot, we had only just earned his trust and respect when it came to sharing physical touch and affection. This is one of our first sessions with no muzzle. This part of our relationship was still very fragile. When Hatchi climbed onto the equipment and slipped, it was instinctual to throw my hand out to catch him and prevent him from falling. The second I did it, I realized he let me help him, rather than become reactive. He trusted me, even in an instance where I was reaching for him quickly, making fast movements toward his body. His trust was stronger than his instinct - what an incredible boy 🤩
We now freely share affection with Hatchi and continue to see him trust more every day!
We had some BIG wins today! This is just one of them 🤩
I wish I could describe the level of panic Esme used to experience while having her nails done. I always wish we had a before video to show just how far this girl has come.
Esme used to have to be chemically sedated and restrained for her nails. She became uncontrollable, panicked and unreasonable as soon as she even saw nail clippers. This is months of hard work shining through! She still has some anxiety, but she can hold herself in a side position all on her own and we can do her nails gently, taking our time to get them down to a healthy length. I am so humbled by this girl ❤
Ragnar and Toby have come a very long way in a very short time - we are so proud of these two boys!
We had their first outing, and while they definitely felt the challenge, the both rose to it ❤
