Due to notification from the City of Watauga, Snoopys will be closed Friday 2-19 and 2-20. Our profession is to bath and dry the fur babies to acheive their grooms. We can not perform this task and assist conserving water. As our customers are asked not to wash laundry or take a shower. Hopefully we will be able to open on Monday 2-22. Our thoughts and prayers to all that are affected by this crisis.

Water Emergency – Mandatory Conservation
The City of Watauga is not under a Boil Water Notice, however, the City is requesting that water customers use water for emergency purposes only. Since a neighboring community has issued a boil advisory, the residents of Watauga may decide to boil water as a precaution but the City does not currently meet TCEQ conditions for issuance of a Boil Water Notice.
Emergency water purposes includes drinking, cooking, flushing, and other safety reasons. Stop dripping water at the faucets, if you currently have heat in your home. Delay using showers, baths, washing machines and dishwashers until this water crisis has ended. If you see broken water lines in your neighborhood, please report immediately to 817.514.5897.
Current demand is outpacing supply. The water emergency is due to a limited supply of water coming to us from the City of Fort Worth and Trinity River Authority. Power issues, coupled with a large number of water main breaks has severely limited their ability to continue providing Watauga and other area cities that they serve. Because of this we cannot guarantee continued water pressure which could impact the quality of water in our system. If customers fail to conserve it is possible the city could run out in 48 hours.
The City of North Richland Hills (NRH) purchases its drinking water, as well as sewer treatment services, from the City of Fort Worth and the Trinity River Authority as a wholesale customer. NRH then sells water to the City of Watauga. Currently, NRH is under a conservation and boil advisory. Treatment chemicals at various plants in the Fort Worth and TRA systems are running critically low which could lead to a “Boil Water Notice” if the ordered chemicals do not arrive. The supply of "safe" water is at an emergency low level and both NRH and Watauga are attempting to discourage use before both cities have to move to an official “Boil Water Notice” which is likely to occur by Saturday. A boil water advisory is not a “Boil Water Notice” as regulated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Advisories are issued as a local decision not regulated by TCEQ and is a recommendation only. By law, TCEQ requires every city to issue a “Boil Water Notice” when water quality conditions warrant, however, NRH water conditions do not presently warrant an official notice filing with TCEQ at this time. If a “Boil Water Notice” is warranted, the City of Watauga will notify citizens using the City web site, Facebook and our Emergency Calling system.
