Fall Into Good Health



It always seems like there’s a lot to keep track of this time of year! This fall, don’t forget to include your pets in your end-of-the-year preparations and planning. Now is a great time to check that your furry friends are current on their vaccines and parasite preventatives to ensure they’re primed for good health in 2025 and beyond.

It’s also important to remember that, like us, seasonal changes can bring on allergy symptoms in our pets. But unlike us, pets' allergies often manifest as severe itchiness rather than sneezing, watery eyes, or a runny nose. If you notice your pet becoming increasingly itchy this fall or showing symptoms like excessive chewing at their paws or scratching their ears, the culprit could be allergies!

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our team with a new Pet Care Coordinator, dedicated to addressing your telephone calls and questions.

Hi All!
My name is Ashlie and I'm excited to join the At Home Veterinary Care Team! I've been in the veterinary field for 15 years, a certified veterinary technician for 12 and an animal lover my whole life! I have worked previously in a general practice setting as well as emergency medicine, but due to a shoulder injury I am no longer able to tech. I will be using my experience to start this new journey as a Pet Care Coordinator! Outside of work I am a mom of three who enjoys reading, photography and hiking and is a Cub Scout leader! Our home is shared with three cats and a megaesophagus bulldog named Rubble (pictured with me). I look forward to working alongside Dr. Romaniello and her team and helping get your fur babies scheduled with them!

Don’t try to reward anxious behaviors from your dog, instead help your dog out of that anxious state with leadership, guidance and structure.

Anxiety is the root cause of so many behavior problems we see in dogs. The only way to address it is through training.
