We may not have the chinnies with us due to the fire, but we are still working closely with our fosters to help get adoptions for all those still needing homes.

Please consider adoption and helping a chin (or 2) in need. A few even have their adoption fees sponsored.

Adoption Applications are currently open for all these cuties plus more. Please reach out to CMA Chinchilla Rescue to discuss potential adoption. We are not processing the applications.

(CMA Chinchilla Rescue is an approved foster location for PFCR located in Howell, MI.)

I know it's been a while since our last update, but I just quickly wanted to let everyone know the humans are doing well. This will be moving along soon with the rebuild of the house.

All of the chinnies are doing well too with our fosters. We did have one momma give birth and a second that appears to be not far behind the last litter.

We have had one problem child in Julie, but our foster reports that things are looking like they're turning around for her.

I still can't say thank you enough to Chloe and Mya for stepping up and helping. I don't know what I'd have done without them.

Again, things will be pretty quiet as I won't have much in the way of content, but I'll try to keep you all updated with progress as it's made.

Just a quick update.

The page will be quiet for the foreseeable future. But the chinnies are in good hands with Chloe and Mya.

The humans are settling into our rental for the next 10+ months while the house is torn down to the studs and repaired.

It's been up and down emotionally for me. It's very hard to go from having your life revolve around animals to suddenly not having any. But the good news is our property manager is allowing us to have one cage here and our 3 personal floofs will be here to stay with us today.

Another huge and heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone that's reached out and given their support throughout this whole ordeal. It's been a rollercoaster but the love helps it feel less hopeless.

Hello friends.

Just wanted to send a quick update.

All of the chinchillas are safe and settling into their new digs with our friends Mya and Chloe. I cannot begin to say how thankful I am for these two for all the help with getting all the chinnies safe and into a good long term solution.

At this time it's expected that we will not be back into our home until 10-12 months from now. So as of now the rescue is closed until further notice. Once the renovations are done and we can rebuild our lives, we will then assess the status of the rescue.

It's gonna take some time but we'll start over.

Thanks so much for the community for all the love and support. I will keep everyone updated but for now, it'll likely be a little quiet.

We won't be able to intake or board, but if you'd like to adopt, please reach out to CMA to discuss potential adoption. We could surely use some stable homes for those in the rescue.

The last 2 days, I've been on a cleaning rampage down in the basement getting everything as close to spotless as I can.

I've moved every single cage away from the walls and washed them. I've used handy Stan to suck up all the dust, fluff, poops, hay and bedding that gets behind the cages. And I've scrubbed water bottles and bowls.

I'm tired. But knowing that all of that is done make me happy!

Now it's time for me to relax too.

One finds her new home and another comes in searching for one.

This is Pickwick. She had the very original name of "Hedgie" so she deserved a new distinguished name!

She's 2 years old and a normal hedgehog. She's a bit shy but very curious. And she loves her wheel.

After her intake hold, she will be available for adoption through the Hedgehog Welfare Society.
