Knox saw cherries for the first time today. He was amazed and had to get a closer look, then a little sniff and a tiny lick. That’s when he opened his mouth as wide as he possible could and picked it up. It was obviously too big to eat so he just put it back. Also, he doesn’t eat food yet so he spit it out and took a nap.

We have had a number of guest ask how they can support us and the animals. We have their needs covered but their wants are another thing. We like to have enrichment items available for the animals to reduce boredom and keep their minds sharp. Sometimes it’s as simple as a box and other times we construct puzzles so the animals have to figure out how to get to the treat. This Amazon Wish list contains some items we use and some items we would love to use. Some items get moved around to multiple animals since the sense of smell is always used by animals. We add and remove things from the list all the time so if you would like to contribute to their entertainment we would be extremely grateful. Thank you for caring.

Millie is one of the sweetest fawns ever. She’s become so comfortable with our visitors thanks to all of your patience and kindness towards her. Lily is a bit more shy but is coming around nicely. They are very interested in the feed bags but are still too young for that. Hopefully we have good weather on the way for tomorrow, Friday and the weekend!
