Join us for Boo at the Zoo trick or treating this Saturday 10/19 from 11-4! This year we’re also having a best costume contest. Just take a picture of you at the wearing a costume at the Bear Den Zoo and tag us for a chance to win a season pass for the 2025 season.

Cool days are the most relaxing for Teddy. He doesn’t even need to get up to play with one of his favorite toys! Only two more weekends left in the season so stop by Saturday or Sunday 11-4 before we close for the season.

Today only Knox will be heading up the hayrides to the pumpkin patch! Just kidding, he doesn’t have his drivers license yet. We’re still going to be taking hayrides out to the pumpkin patch from 11-4 today and ever weekend until the end of October.

We have seen many fawns in the years but never one with curly fur. Lily had a mini mohawk going down her back to her tail that made her stand out. We thought when her winter fur came it it would probably be gone but instead she grew the most unusual coat we’ve ever seen. Stop by and see Millie and Lily this weekend!

Knox saw cherries for the first time today. He was amazed and had to get a closer look, then a little sniff and a tiny lick. That’s when he opened his mouth as wide as he possible could and picked it up. It was obviously too big to eat so he just put it back. Also, he doesn’t eat food yet so he spit it out and took a nap.

Listen to Mr. Rooster and then listen even closer. When roosters crow they use up all the air in their lungs so they have to inhale sharply after a crow, which makes that little sound. Make sure you look for him at your next visit.

Madagascar Lesser Tenrec

There was a lot of cuteness going on today at the Zoo! We were so lucky to see this 4 week old Tenrec giving himself a quick clean up with his little foot!

Mom and her babies

Maddie is such a good mom. She has been taking great care of her twins and after only a week they are already climbing all over her. Dad is keeping his distance just in case one of those babies tries to jump on him lol stop by and take a look at this adorable family.
