The Joys and Surprises of Night Check: A time for Gratitude. The main objective is to ensure the well-being of our stabled horses, checking for any signs of distress or discomfort. This involves verifying the security of stall door latches, inspecting water bowls, and providing a warm, mash to our senior equine residents. As I approach each stall, the horses greet me with familiar enthusiasm, nuzzling my face as if to confirm my identity. Energee's water bowl and hanging bucket are, as usual, filled with flakes of hay, creating a soup explosion - it's his thing. Fergie, consistent in her behavior, pins her ears from the back of her stall - it's a mare thing. Echo's weaving is promptly addressed with a flake of alfalfa hay, restoring calm. Tigger, our feline companion, demands attention and a treat, while Rosè scrapes her teeth on the stall wall, seeking acknowledgment. Tonight, this barn is filled with the vibrant spirit of our equine friends. The barn is silent - Night check complete.
