We are adding a new show to our schedule this year! The St. Louis National Charity Horse Show Fall Kick off Show! It will be Sept 20-21 and will feature a WT and WTC horsemanship challenge, Academy Olympics, and Show horses classes as well. Talk to Miss Hilary if you would like to add this show to your schedule! Riders already going to the St Louis National please talk to Miss Hilary to see about doing both!

Redwing Farm is looking for 2 full time employees starting in Mid August. We are looking for people who want to work mon-fri 7-4. Pay based on experience. Job includes cleaning stalls, feeding, leading horses, holding for the vet, farm up keep including mowing and w**d eating. Please call 314.307.6120 for more information.

Currently hiring: We are currently looking for a full time or 2 part time day time employees. Hours are 7-4. Duties can include but are not limited too mucking stalls, feeding horses, turning horses out, brining horses in, grooming horses, holding for the vet, and general farm maintenance work. I am week behind on posting pictures... But I want to congratulate all of our Academy Team Riders on a great first show of the year at Stephens College! For all 6 riders we took it was the not only the first show of the year, but the first off campus horse show ever! Great job ladies!

As we enter Horse Show Season
1. Horses don’t get broke at home. Be brave and enter!
2. EVERY disappointment at the show is a learning opportunity..... Be humble, be open to change.
3. Everyone gets nervous. Everyone has bad days. Everyone makes mistakes. Literally: EVERYONE!
4. Don’t watch others in the warmup ring and start changing what you have been doing - if you see something cool or you want to step up your game that’s homework for after the show!
5. When we run out of knowledge, we often punish our horses. Seek help instead.
6. Be a competitor! But be a horseman first. There is always someone watching who sees you as a role model.
7. Supporting your fellow competitors and engaging with people will enrich your show life.
8. Know the rules of competition! Make sure your attire and tack is legal. Read the rule book, ask questions and be well prepared.
9. Have FUN, don’t sweat the small stuff!

USEF offers this amazing program for junior high and high school students to receive a variety letter! They can earn letters and pins during each year of high school and junior high and it is a great for college and high school applications as well as scholarships! Its easy to sign up and doesn't require the riders to do anything except keep track of things they already do! Check this cool program out for your rider!

Show season is right around the corner, but it's not to late to sign up for Ribbons of Service! This awesome program has donated almost 1 Million dollars to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and hopes to cross the 1 million mark in 2024. If your Academy or show rider would like to participate make sure to get them signed up and start planning for the year. All riders signed up with Ribbons of Service are allowed to have a table at the fun show to help them fund raise!

Junior performance riders/drivers can compete with a new reason in mind: raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or their selected charity.
