Located in the Midwest, Rebel Paws breeds beautiful, healthy, well socialized Maine C***s - with or without extra toes! Our goal is to improve the breed with each planned mating so they are ready for the show ring or forever loved as pets by their families! Our Maine C***s are part of our family and live inside our home with us! Kittens are birthed in our master bedroom, which doubles as nursery s

o we can keep a close eye on both mother and her babies! Maine C***s are our focus, we do not breed any other type of cat or dogs! We are very proud of our new up and coming cattery and feel honored to share this maginificent breed with others! Our goal is to breed for health/temperment first and do all we can to produce cats that fit within the breed standard! Although size is not the most important thing, it is a distinct characteristic of the breed. We are priveleged to have worked with several reputable catteries to obtain our stud/queens. Our male came direct from a cattery in Maine, where they specialize in the "original" Maine C**n look native to the New England area! We are excited to continue to pass on that lineage thru his offspring! Our cattery is registered with Cat Fanciers Associaton (CFA), American Cat Fanciers Association (ACFA) and The International Cat Association (TICA). All our cats are genetically tested for Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy (HCM -N/N), Erythrocyte Pyruvate Kinase (PK-def - N/N), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV -Negative), and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV-Negative). Not a cool idea to COMMENT on someone else's cattery page Ms. Kalie Alderson | Midwest Majestic Maine C***s of York, NE if you are ANOTHER breeder AND tagging ANOTHER breeder. Very unprofessional of you but wouldn't expect much more.

Some of you might recognize this person/cattery. In case you missed it, please scroll through my posts on how to find a REPUTABLE BREEDER. Certain people/catteries CHECK those RED FLAG boxes for sure! HINT! HINT! Happy to answer any questions you have and refer you to a reputable breeder.

Just so we’re all CLEAR - these yahoo’s from YORK commented on MY PAGE on MY POST. And if you WONDER why it’s okay for other people to post their cat’s/cattery of origin on MY page it’s bc they are REPUTABLE breeders. They do NOT purposely cross purebred lines and sell them as RARE finds!

LOOKING FOR A MAINE C**N KITTEN? PONDER THIS! Do your homework. Be sure to ASK the right questions & interview multiple breeders.

I’ll be sharing info to help those on their journey searching for a Maine c**n kitten select a reputable breeder.

1. LONGEVITY- Make sure they’ve been around for awhile. A breeder who’s been around 10+ years is much more knowledgeable than someone who is just starting out. (Sorry newbies!) Veteran breeders will know their lines and if health issues have popped up over the years as they’ve had a chance to see offspring grow. New breeders will have no way to know what’s going to happen w health of lines for 3-5 years.

2. BREED PRESERVATION - the goal of a breeder is to uphold a written standard set forth by a cat association (examples - CFA, TICA, ACFA). The purpose of breeding is to maintain these characteristics and w**d out any conformation & health issues. Showing your cats def gives you first hand experience w this and valuable feedback from a licensed judge on how you are doing as a breeder. Also a reputable breeder will NEVER knowingly cross breed on purpose to create a novelty mixed cat. Crossing a Maine c**n with a Siamese or Ragdoll (or any other breed) is unacceptable.

3. PARENTS ON SITE - if the breeder you are getting a kitten from does not own the parents of your kitten. Think twice. Maybe RUN! There are plenty of Maine c**n kittens from reputable breeders in the USA already- SHOP LOCAL 😂

4. PRICE - higher isn’t always better nor does it mean the breeder is legit. AND a very LOW PRICE is usually a sign corners are being cut. Remember, there is def some truth to the phrase “ You GET what you PAY for!”

ASK QUESTIONS. TRUST YOUR GUT.
