Every February we celebrate Dental Month for dogs & cats, offering discounted dental cleanings & sharing education along the way! Our discounted spots are in such high demand that they’re usually filled up the year before! This year, we decided to open up more slots! If you’ve been needing to have your pet’s annual teeth cleaning, (or it’s been a bit longer than that 😉) now is the time! Call us to snag all the slots we added to January, or the last few left for February!

A few weeks left for discounted dental care for horses!

Our last post about Equine Dental Month explained why we’re so passionate about sedated oral exams, so we wanted to share another reason we recommend them!

A horse’s cheek teeth continue growing for 25-30 years, which requires yearly maintenance to keep them in shape! This photo from our friends at Mid-Rivers Equine shows teeth that are in need of their annual float. Floating a horse’s teeth is a process where veterinarians remove sharp points & edges that have formed because their teeth wear unevenly. If those sharp points aren’t floated, they rub the mouth raw, leading to ulcers & infection. Not to mention - pain! Remember to watch for drooling, dropping feed, change in attitude, or weight loss. Having their teeth floated annually is a simple way to ensure your horse doesn’t experience those symptoms.
