Oreo and Smudge
Everyone's favorite boys are looking for their furever family! How can you resisit the cuteness that is Oreo and Smudge?
Today is Check The Chip Day. It is a good idea to have your pet's microchip scanned at least once a year to make sure it is working properly. This day also is set to make sure the information filed with the microchip company is still accurate.
Oreo was a more or less willing participant for this video. 😉 Check the comments for him trying to scan his own microchip!

Larry the Larva
If you are squeamish you're going to want to keep scrolling. If you don't mind things from the bug world we have a video for you of a cuterebra we're calling Larry the Larva. A cuterebra is the larval stage of a bot fly. The eggs are laid near small animal burrows and get picked up by the animals that live in the burrows or our pets when they go sniffing around those burrows. They're commonly found on the face/neck for that reason. The egg hatches and then the larva migrates through the tissue creating a little hole called a warble that it lives in. The larva stays there for 3 to 7 months before leaving it's host. Then it pupates and eventually emerges as a bot fly.
