Dangers to our pets at Christmas time can come in many forms.

Christmas trees pose several threats, from entanglement in lights to cuts from breakable ornaments to the water in the tree stand.

Even our holiday treats and feasts can be problematic.
Sugar-free candy contains Xylitol which is an absolute no-no for pets. Rich chocolate candies are toxic to them as well. Alcohol is toxic as well. Our meats and gravies are often too fatty for our pets to eat and bones should not be given to pets.

Poinsettias are toxic, but mistletoe is even more so.

Salt-dough ornaments can smell appealing to pets, but are highly toxic if eaten. It's best to keep them out of reach.

Even our pretty ribbons and twine can cause serious damage if eaten.
