Here they are, Bailey's final litter! We still have a few available, reach out here or call Randy at 605-881-7934

Bailey is a great mama and throws great puppies. She is a house dog, hunts waterfowl and upland birds. Great family temperment with great hunting instincts. These pups will be perfect for the whole family. Can't go wrong with one of these Allen Labrador Puppies. They will be smaller labs 50-65lb

Happy national puppy day! At Randy Allen Labradors we pride ourselves in bettering the breed and we pour everything we have into our dogs, puppies, and the dogs we train for others. We're grateful for all your support throughout the years!

This year we have multiple breedings planned. We already bred our chocolate female, Bailey, to our very own stud - Cash. We are hopeful for a successful breeding and if so, puppies should be born around April 18th.
We are also planning black/yellow litters that will likely be born late spring/summer!

Stay tuned here for updates, but in the meantime, enjoy some pictures of previous litters! 💛🤎🖤

Winter is here and these cold temps are no joke. Please take caution with your pets to prevent hypothermia and other injuries and illnesses.

Limit outdoor exposure times, usually dogs let you know they're too cold when they start lifting paws off the ground. There are a few good paw balms out there to apply as a barrier during extreme cold temperatures. We got down to -70 in North Dakota and our dogs definitely made their bathroom trips quickly!

Below are some signs and symptoms of hypothermia in dogs, everyone stay safe and warm!

The symptoms a dog with hypothermia might display are as follows:

Tiredness
Shivering
Paleness of the skin
Muscle stiffness
Low blood pressure
Shallow breathing
Fixed, dilated pupils – if severe

Happy New Year and national Labrador Retriever day! Spoil your pups a little extra today (as if you don't everyday)!

We have a few litters planned for 2024, so stay tuned! We're grateful this year and every year to have your support, and for giving the pups we bring into the world great homes 🖤💛🤎

🖤 Week 7 🖤 *1 male available*

This week we:
▪️got our weekly nail trim
▪️had our first vet visit and first round of shots! We all got a clean bill of health and the all clear to go to our new homes!
▪️are getting more and more independent! We like to explore and wander when we are outside instead of staying close to our humans
▪️really like to eat, we are getting really big and strong! The vet said that we are nice and chunky, just the way she likes to see it!
▪️are all starting to retrieve, but we will still need lots of practice with our new families!
▪️are working really hard on potty training, we still potty in the whelping kennel, but we are primarily p**ping outside!

▪️Our average weight is: 8.9 lbs
▫️Biggest: purple male - 10 lbs
▫️Smallest: blue girl - 8.4 lbs

The pups have been adjusting to life without Pearl remarkably well. Their little personalities are starting to shine through and it's so fun to see! Previously we mentioned we were letting the pups outside every 4 hours and they are doing so good! They try really hard to hold their bladders until we let them out, and it's pretty rare that they p**p in the whelping kennel now. They are only 7 weeks old so we definitely expect some accidents still!

Pearl is pretty much back to normal and healing up well. She went duck hunting this weekend and didn't skip a beat!

We still have 1 little guy waiting for his forever home 🖤 please reach out with any questions!

🖤 Week 6 🖤 *1 male available*

This week we:
▪️got our weekly nail trim
▪️got our 3rd round of dewormer
▪️picked out our collars (see video from a few days ago)
▪️are completely weaned and eating solid food (purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach, salmon and rice puppy food for those wondering)
▪️get let out roughly 4 times a day in the big yard, we are trying to exclusively p**p out there
▪️finally got to play with real puppy toys, our favorite toy is the tiny tennis ball (no surprise there).

▪️Our average weight is: 7 lb 14.1 oz
▫️Biggest: purple male - 8 lb 9 oz
▫️Smallest: blue girl - 7 lb 1.2 oz

Pearl unfortunately ended up getting another mammary infection. Luckily it was caught pretty early, but because of the antibiotic and anti-inflammatory the vet put her on she was no longer allowed to nurse the puppies. It was causing her and the puppies a lot of stress to be able to see and hear eachother but not be together, so it was decided to let her go back to her family on Saturday. She has finally started settling in and relaxing and the puppies have handled the transition very well. Because of this we are spending hours and hours and hours a day with the pups.

We still have 1 little guy waiting for his forever home 🖤 please reach out with any questions!

Pyper, out of Pearl x Jack November 2022 litter. She tried on her new hunting vest and decided this was the life she wanted! She had her first duck hunt this weekend and she nailed it. Her family has put in a lot of work and it's paying off. She retrieved 6-7 out of the water and 4 from the tall grass. Way to go Pyper and family, these are the updates we LOVE to see!

🖤 Week 5 🖤 *1 male available*

This week we:
▪️got our weekly nail trim
▪️went outside for the first time ☀️
▪️tried puppy food and loved it
▪️wrestle eachother non stop
▪️wag our tails a lot 🥹
▪️really love to give kisses to our human caretakers

▪️Our average weight is: 6 lb 7.8 oz
▫️Biggest: purple male - 6 lb 15.8 oz
▫️Smallest: blue girl - 5 lb 11.5 oz

Pearl has been enjoying a little more free time and prefers her area away from the puppies now that they have teeth and love to bite and wrestle. She still gets very excited to be with them for feeding time and cleans them frequently!
We still have 1 little guy waiting for his forever home 🖤 please reach out with any questions!

Big day for the pups yesterday! They had their first outside experience, they weren't quite sure what to make of the turf right away. They also had their first solid food! They loved it and scarfed it right down!

Scout, a pup out of PearlxJake 2018, did great on her first dove/partridge hunt yesterday evening. You can't go wrong with a pup out of Pearl. They're extremely versatile, from pheasants to ducks to geese they are go getters no matter the environment.
Anyone else been out yet?

🖤 Week 4 🖤 *1 male available*

This week we:
▪️got our weekly nail trim
▪️are very playful
▪️got our teeth in
▪️were exposed to a pheasant wing, we thought it was great!
▪️got our second round of dewormer

▪️Our average weight is: 5 lb. 1.4 oz
▫️Biggest: 5 lb. 6.3 oz
▫️Smallest: 4 lb. 11.2 oz

Pearl got to go dove hunting in the yard this weekend, she's still one of the best dogs to hunt over. She's been loving the cool weather and could tell it was hunting season before we even took her out. These pups will be great additions as hunting partners and family pets! They will be on the smaller side, females 40-50 pounds, males 50-65 pounds. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

🖤 Week 3 🖤 *1 male available*

This week we:
▪️grew alot! 😳
▪️got our weekly nail trim
▪️are reacting to noises
▪️are starting to get playful
▪️started barking and growling at eachother and pearl, especially when we're hungry
▪️are starting to teeth, we like to bite on fingers and arms (luckily no teeth are popping through yet)

▪️Our average weight is: 4lb. 2.7 oz
▫️Biggest: 4lb. 6.8 oz
▫️Smallest: 3lb. 12.8 oz

Pearl is getting more comfortable leaving the pups for longer periods of time (around 15-20 minutes). In her free time she likes chasing mice and gophers in the wood pile and tall grass and flushing the doves and partridge from the yard. She also got to see the cows up close for the first time and she was pretty happy about it!

🖤 Week 2 🖤 *2 males available*

This week we:
▪️got our first round of dewormer and we handled it like pros!
▪️got our nails trimmed again
▪️got our first bath 🛁
▪️started opening our eyes 🥹
▪️are trying to walk on all 4's instead of scoot on our bellies

▪️Our average weight is: 2 lb. 10.4 oz
▫️Biggest: 2 lb. 13.1 oz
▫️Smallest: 2 lb 7.2 oz

Pearl is still doing great, she is such an attentive mother as you can see from the attempted photo shoot. When given the opportunity for a break from her pups, she chooses to only be away from them for 5-10 minutes. She's a good producer (thankfully), because her puppies are very good eaters!

🖤Week 1🖤

This week we:
▪️Removed dew claws on day 4
▪️Clipped those tiny toe nails
▪️Doubled in size 😳
▪️Increased mama Pearl's food intake to 12-14 cups (its hard work feeding those chunky puppies)
▪️Did our first of many photo shoots
-this was no easy feat, these pups are very active
▪️Our average weight is 1 lb 9 oz
▫️Largest: 1 lb 11 oz
▫️Smallest: 1 lb 6.2 oz

Currently the pups are scooting around everywhere, they'll be walking before we know it! They eat non stop, and boy are they vocal during mealtime!

We have started handling them for short periods of time, but mostly we are giving Pearl space so she feels comfortable.
Everyone is happy, healthy and active! Pearl is such a great mama and makes raising litters as easy as can be. We have a few males left, if you're interested or have questions do not hesitate to reach out to the Page or to Randy Allen directly!
