Hello world! My name is Maverick and I am searching for a family who will spend a lot of time with me each and every day! I used to live in a home with another dog and multiple children, all of whom I absolutely loved! I would benefit greatly from a home with another dog or an owner who can spend all day with me. Donations can be dropped off at the Main Shelter during open business hours. Due to our ongoing construction, parking is at the white Administration House next door to the Main Shelter. All donations can be set in the shed on the back porch or walked to the Main Shelter following the shoveled path to the lobby door.

HI! My name is Sally been with my friends at the SPCA for a few months. I am a very affectionate kitty, but I am also a scared kitty. Once I open up I love head scratches! I also have a full-time job at the biscuit factory, and once you start petting me I start putting in the work! If you scratch my cheeks just right I'll start to drool, too. When I do get the zoomies, my preferred toys are teaser wands and anything with catnip. I would do best in a quiet home with no other cats or dogs, where I can get all of the attention I want! Who will take a chance on me?

What to do on a snowy day??? We make busy boxes! Fill a cardboard box with paper and treats! They have to dig through them to fund the treats and shredding cardboard and paper so so much fun!!!! What are you doing today for fun with your dog???

Are your dogs anxious because they can't play outside like they do when it's warm out?? The dogs in the shelter do too! Enriching activities keep the boredom away! We use puzzles, snuffle mats, and lick mats!

Bella is our second longest resident and she is really hoping to find her Valentine this week!! She is the best cuddle bug and has the softest fur!! She would do great with older kids but needs to be your one and only pet. Her energy level is just perfect she could use a good run once a day then she is chill!! Have your dogs been going a little stir crazy with winter being so snowy and cold this year??? Today the weather conditions are perfect to play the hot dog game!!! Throw pieces of cut up hot dogs or even beef jerky in the snow. They have to sniff to find it.

According to experts, around 20 minutes of sniffing for a dog can be considered equivalent to a full hour of walking in terms of mental stimulation and exertion, as sniffing heavily engages their sense of smell and requires concentration to process information from their surroundings.

Remember a tired dog is a well behaved dog!!🐾💕
