Holy Cats, er... Dogs! Can you believe today is the One Year Anniversary of 605 Dogs? I've been photographing dogs in the Watertown area for free and bringing you their sweet faces for 12 whole months, but I still have a long way to go until I hit 605 dogs!

To celebrate, I am giving away a FREE 8x10 (of a photo I took of your pup, if I haven't taken your pup's photo yet, you can still win for a future shoot) to one lucky person who shares this post on their page. (Don't let the scambots fool you, if you win I will reach out personally and let you know. Stupid scambots). I'll announce the winner next Saturday and thank you in advance to all the people who have shared their dogs and spread the word to make this project possible!

This Saturday, October 11th from 3pm - 5pm is our Maples + Mutts Meet up! We have lots of fun planned - games, prizes, photo opportunities, costume contest, and more! Our event is free will donation with a few cash and carry items the rescue has available for purchase!

Good afternoon everyone,

We have a part-time positions available!
If you love animals and think you will be a great fit for the position, please stop by the shelter to pick up an application or drop off your resume.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Be at least 16 years old

HOURS:
• Our schedule is very flexible during the week and we can work with your availability. Every Friday and every other Saturday would be required for this position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain facility grounds clean and organized.
• Provide safe and humane handling of animals for the purpose of intake, adoption, inventory, behavioral assessments, and health care activities.
• Help customers through the process of adoption, surrender, volunteer, etc.

SKILL & ABILITIES:
• Skill in safely handling animals, including those with unknown temperament
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priories.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff and the public.
