We supply everything you need for the puppy and you are just responsible for bringing the puppy in for vet visits and meet and greets. Please fill out a foster application on our website Whsadopt.org if you are interested or give us a call if you already have a form on file. Thank you!!!

UPDATE: Frank was adopted!!!

Meet Frank!

Hi everyone! My name is Frank! I was found outside over the winter but fortunately for me, Iā€™ve spent the last month and a half with my foster getting healthy as can be! I had pretty bad worms and an upper respiratory infection but Iā€™m better now and finally ready to find my furever home! Iā€™m an older gentleman and Iā€™m already fixed. I am FIV+ which means i have a weaker immune system than most cats. My mom says I have wonderful house manners, I donā€™t jump on counters or tables, not even coffee tables, I ALWAYS use my litter box and Iā€™ll be sure to let you know when itā€™s got more than two piles in it. I love love loveee my cardboard scratcher and feather toys but Iā€™m a little scared of my mini scratching post. Iā€™m very much a go with the flow type of guy, I donā€™t mind being in your face every so often or sitting by myself somewhere else. I definitely expect love when I want it (I give the same in return) and if you donā€™t oblige, I will just hold your hand to me with my big mitts and pet myself. I currently have three doggy sisters, one of each size and I havenā€™t met another kitty yet so mom doesnā€™t know how Iā€™ll act! But oh mannn do I love my sisters and they love me, mom says I tend to be a push over and let them bully me sometimes though, Iā€™d just rather snuggle than play and there is nothing wrong with that! A few of what mom calls my ā€œunique characteristicsā€ are, I love to be held like a baby and get cheek pets while I hold your arm, I get little crusties by my eyes in the morning, I will follow you like a dog just about anywhere you go, Iā€™m not super picky about my food, nor do I have much of an interest in yours, I donā€™t play unless Iā€™m played with, and I love dogs. Mom also says one of her most favorite things about me is that she can dress me up, I actually kind of like wearing clothes and I donā€™t mind a harness either! If you made it this far you pretty much know everything about me now and just have to be head over heels, so letā€™s get this ball rolling, contact the Watertown humane society and ask about me, Frank, the orange fluffy guy!

Please apply at Whsadopt.org if you would like to meet Frank!

Meet Bubz!

Bubz was brought in to us as a friendly stray who was trying to let himself into someone's house. Now is here looking to find a house of his own. We are guessing he is around 3 -5 years old and he was already neutered when he came so he was definitely owned by someone at some point in time. So far he seems like a quiet gentle guy.

Please apply at Whsadopt.org if you would like to meet Bubz!

Meet Cheerio and Applejack *Bonded Pair*

Applejack and Cheerio are two cute sisters who came from a hoarding situation. Applejack is the smaller shorthair and Cheerio is the larger medium hair. They are in a foster and there foster had this to say about them "Both are very friendly, playful, lap cats. They are skittish with loud noises at first so I do not recommend a house with small children. Applejack loves to zoom around while Cheerio is busy exploring everything she can find."

If you would like to meet these sweet girls please apply at www.whsadopt.org/adopt

Our Shelter

The shelter in Watertown can be traced back to as early as the 1920s where two compassionate souls cared for homeless animals on their farm. Since that time, the Watertown Humane Society has been not only a beacon of hope for pets in this area, but also a sanctuary for all the people who love them.

Our shelter is so special...we have long term resident cats living out their lives in the warmth of our four walls. We have dogs that languished in the south find their second chance with our heartwarming communities. We have volunteers that have given their extra hours, their saturdays and their pockets for over 25 years. We welcome you to become a part of our shelter...
