There is now an update on the requirements for traveling to Canada with your Dog as of Monday, July 22, 2024. You still need to have your pet microchipped if they are not already. They need to be healthy and current on Rabies vaccine. The only change is the paperwork that was supposed to be completed within 28 days before travel no longer is required. There is still a dog import form that is to be filled out by pet owner prior to entry back into the United States. As of August 1, 2024, there are new regulations and paperwork required for traveling to Canada with your pets. This paperwork will need to be done approximately 1 month prior to travel. Please call us if you are going to be traveling to Canada so we can help. One of the main things is your pet MUST be microchipped along with additional paperwork endorsed by USDA.

Dr. Mellgren is now taking appointments on Mondays at Care Small Animal Hospital. She is a 2020 University of Minnesota grad and have been practicing mixed animal medicine in Webster since graduation. She will also be helping out when Dr. Rieb is out on vacation. Dr. Mellgren is excited to meet our clients and their furry friends!
