Tomorrow is picture day… the very last one for Jades litter. We’ll be finishing up kennel and sound training, soaking up every bit of playtime, and honestly… making a whole lot of sweet little messes I know I’ll miss. Jade’s babies will get their final nail trims, and I’m already feeling that little ache knowing we’re at the end.
And then Saturday comes… when we say goodbye to Zara, Lily, and Crisp. 😢🥺
My three little girls who live to climb the tops of the kennels—every day I walk in and catch them up there, and every day they scramble to get down so fast, like I didn’t just watch the whole thing. 🫣🤦♀️😂 It’s the silliest, most precious sight, and the thought of not seeing it anymore… whew.
Their zoomies, their chaos, their personalities—Lily and Tessa with their tiny feisty tantrums, all of them p*eking through the other areas trying to find one another or climbing into other litter areas—it’s those little things that make this part so hard. 🤦♀️😩🤣
Tessa meets her family saturday as well and knowing I’ll see her again in February (and hopefully more often since they homeschool now ❤️) brings so much comfort. I can’t wait to watch her grow into the amazing girl I know she’ll be. ☺️ (perks of still being friends with one your childhood best friends)
And while we’re talking about Tessa… the next few months will start a new chapter. I’ll begin searching for a male to pair with Tessa and Ivy in the future. That means I’ll also be looking for a guardian home for a mini red male—either solid or a little tuxedo boy like Ovie, just a bit smaller.
If your heart is tugging at you reading this, and you feel this might be the right guardian opportunity, please message me.
Male guardianships are simple… just a few meetups a year, no long stays during heats or whelping. 🙃
This part of the journey is always bittersweet—letting go, watching them leave, trusting they’ll be loved as deeply as they’ve been loved here. But goodness… what a gift it is to be part of their first chapter. 💛
