What's going on this week at TFD!? Hope you all had a great holiday weekend & spent time with those you love ❤🦃🍽
Full of cleaning, socialization, desentizing, kennel training, weaning & a whole lot of puppy snuggles 😍😍🤩😍😍
All puppies ears are now fully developed so we can finally begin our actual desentizing LOUD scary sounds without causing fear in the little ones. More then just exposing them to vacuums, etc. Sound training on the TV, door slams, dropped books/dishes etc And they are now all old/mature enough and immune systems are ready to start being handled outside their areas and we have introduced that into our daily schedule switching out puppies. My girls LOVE to play with them 🥰 this is their favorite ages!
Jade's litter : 6 weeks old: we started buddy kenneling & introducing alone kennel with a snuggle puppy buddy today. We also expanded there area a little more. Tonight they will get their 3rd round of deworming before bed & some more overnight kennel training. They are all 4-5lbs. Potty training has been a little harder for the group; some of them prefer freshly clean pads. I don't blame them.... But they just seem to think play area is a potty box, so we rearranged and added another box in their play areas as well as beds ( this typically helps steer them clear of pottying in the wrong areas) I sooo wish it wasn't so cold out because I'd totally introduce this litter to grass at this age! Let's just see if this helps🤞once we get over this hump we can bring back the balance board, the "bridge" and add in our climbing blocks!
Willows litter: 5 weeks old these guys are still very chill and we have started Introducing open kennel & after play time all of Willows pups wer huddled together in the kennel and Jade's pups on the dog beds as they got to have a little socialization today with Jade's litter and play their little heart outs and get tackled 🫠 we have started the weaning process as they are now all on hard puppy food (they were not big fans of soaked puppy food fyi) and they are loving the crunchy puppy food bites. They still love to sleep but also have their playtime. They too will get their 2nd dose of dewormer tonight. These guys ROCK their potty box.
Violets litter : 5 weeks old, but when u have petites you must scale back everything 1-2 weeks as they develop slower pace. (Think teeth, hearing, socialization etc) These little guys LOVE softened soaked puppy food! And it's showing on the scale 😉 they are now all 2-3 lbs 👏 (right on track for petites) These guys too will have dewormer this evening, their 2nd dose. These guys also consistently use their potty box. They will be introduced within the next few days to an open kennel as well.
